?? Day at the Track Spring Midwest Meet ??? let's Discuss??

I know the fear of being spanked by a little 3.9 is scary for you MarkVIII fellas. But if it makes you feel better I may bring my MarkVIII too:p

If some quicker cars are coming I can trailer my car down just so we have a tow rig if there is a break down. Not that there would be but just in case.

Breaks down who is going to break down..
Likely a Mark:D

Like I said if some faster cars come. Never know when something is going to break when your running serious power. Like if Rob comes with his KBX...hes pushing axle limits for now.

Must be yours wasn't that the one that didn't run for a while:cool::rolleyes: ... Mechanic error...:shifty:

Hey I didn't do the first plug job. And then the car was just obviously punishing me for using it for work and driving it 1500 miles in 2 weeks. It normally sees that all summer:D

People do break but not mostly stock cars. Althought a new Charger broke a axle while I was there in spring and he was pretty much stock, cheap Chrysler crap.

Winter sucks I wanna race! I set up a deal to trade my truck in March for a '96 mark Viii so I will be there.

Sounds like a plan,I always wanted to go to Byron but no luck yet.We definitely should meet up and go to Byron one weekend.Last time we went to GLD Mike had problems with tach guys about his blown 98 LSC,they were asking him all kinds of crazy questions about his car [driveshaft loop, halmet, and etc..] and they barley let him run his car.

Yeah tech can get stupid at times. That is especially the case with sleeper cars. Once they notice something isn't quite normal with the car they get all paranoid and go tech crazy. At that point it is almost better to roll through with a Mustang because at least they kind of expect it to be modded. If I bring the Exploder I will make a run or two and then promptly get booted. If I hit 10's with it (not happening at the meet so no one get their hopes up) then I will stop screwing around and cage it and do a custom 4 link SAS rear. At least I will probably pass tech. ;) That is a good thing about the Kenne Bell supercharger's. They are quiet as heck when idling. You can hear your brother's Vortech whistling a ways away though.

Breaks down who is going to break down..
I might,my trans is acting funny but i dont care as long as i am able to make it to the meet and make a pass down the track i will be happy, even if the trans comes threw the floorboards and the whole thing gets scattered down the track,it will be fun, only thing that will peeve me is the weather for that day

lolol tech at byron didnt open hood or anything. just sign on the X_________

Something at US41,I 've even seen people running single digit cars with no helmet.

Never been there myself but I have aways heard that 41 is REAL relaxed with tech. That is why CSVT always tries to hold their MSC events there, plus the fact that there is a hookup with that place.

Relaxed tech can be a good or bad thing depending if you are driving before or after the retard that thinks he can sneak in with an oil leak and his A/C blowing cold. ;) Oil puddles, water, and heated slicks under a car pushing 600-700+ does not make for a fun day if you are the driver.

I have been real busy with my LS1 PCM and getting other tuning going with Wester's, so I have been away.

Do we need to register?
When are we meeting?

Elkhart Lake , Wisc. Road America

If you really want to enjoy high speed driving and see how your car handles on a real race track, you should try a track event.
1 lap at Road America is over 4 miles. Usually you will have 3 -45 min. sessions per day on the track and most events are a 2 day event. Try that at a Drag Strip
