I just purchaced a 2004 Lincoln Ls Sport, When I got it home I checked the A/C and it was hot on d side and cool not cold on P side. I found this site and read a lot about the DCCV malfunction so I got one from Advanced Auto Parts for 120 and it took me 30 minutes to put it in.... not hard at all ... now all the vents blow ice cold and im lovin it. Thanks for all the folks who posted great information about this car and if I come across anything I will post it along with what ever repair tips I can find out..

I'm going to tackle one of these on my gen1 this weekend. My defroster blows cold and I get Luke warm heat, out of the vents! But the ac blows cold on both sides. Wierd
