Dent in door $$$$

Hi everyone-

Does anyone have a idea how much it's going to cost me for a little dent in my door?? I let the wife drive it and she came home with a damn dent in the door. She'll never drive it again!!!

Try looking around locally for the guys that do paintless dent removal and see if that'll take care of it.

If the paint is not damaged, you might try one of the "paintless" repair services. They gently rap on the inside of the panel until the steel is back where it belongs. I've been satisfied with their work, and cost should be $100 to $200, depending on how hard it is to get to the inside. I think dealers use their services also, so you might get your dealer to recommend a good one. Or they'll be under auto body and repairing. Good Luck

+1 and +1, a old antique front door i had in my garage fell on my fender leaving 4 golfball size dents. a paintless dent repair guy came out and took all of them out plus 3 dings that was on my car for 140. it looks perfect couldnt be more happy

I tried dry ice, but my dent was way too bad for it, and on a body line too.

They quoted me 700 to refinish the door panel to remove the dent. Sad thing is, I'm probably going to pay it.

pete try the paintless dent repair. my guy can take softball size dents out. worth trying at least

PDR doesnt work on the body lines/body creases.

If I had to get a respray, I'd consider the whole side. Otherwise, nothing looks worse than a door or fender or quarter panel that dont match each other.

Yes it does alot of times, just harder to do. I had a few removed on the edge of the wheel well on my VIII, came out great. A good PDR guy can do it.

true, there is a guy here called dingy dave lol and he is more commonly referred to as the magician. a good pdr can do magic

I did a search for the dry ice method and I found someone using a can of compressed air! WTF?

Ya pretty much any color other than black is a bitch to blend. PDR is great just got hail dents done on mine and its looks great. they wont take huge dents or dents that cracked paint but its worth trying if you can.. I think for my hail dents i paid right about 35 a dent or a little more. depends what you got im sure but if you cant do PDR take it to a good shop who will prep and blend it properly. Not some one who says itll be done in 3 hours. no one is that good.

yea compressed air and a heat gun... got two dents out of my lincoln i have now with that method!
