Differential and gear help PLEASE.

I've come to the conclusion that the clutches in my diff are shot.
Ohhhh and my tires are bald after entering a burn out contest. :shifty:

Any recommendations on what diff to run, also checking with you guys to
see what gears you've been running in your LS. Mine is a 2002 3.9 with a auto.
Not really looking to spend the big $$$$ till Im finish fabbing up my turbo kit.

I own a speed shop, have lots of experience with Mustangs ....
not sure if they're the same center section as the Cobra....? don't think so.
Someone told me they were a 8". Haven't even had a chance to look at it yet.

Yes, 8.0" rear end. 8.8 pumpkin is needed to gear up. With the 8.8" pumpkin comes the added work of custom fabbed brackets and a custom driveshaft.

A 8.8" 28 spline LSD carrier will fit into the stock 8.0" pumpkin, as long as you reuse your stock ring gear and pinion. That's what I'm running. Mustang LSD carrier (I believe it was from an 05 GT) into the LS stock 8.0" pumpkin.
