About 2 weeks ago I ordered a set of 4.10's from supercoupeperformance. He told me they were Ykon gears and I did a little research and All I heard was good things about that brand so I ordered them. Didn't really inspect them when they got to my house. Brought them to the guy I was having install them for me and he calls me later on in the day and tells me there cheap gears made in China, he said if they were Yukon gears it would be stamped on the gears, he said he couldn't even get the pinion to seat correctly in it. Luckily he had a spear set of Ford Racing 4.10's sitting on the shelf so he installed those. Moral of the story Supercoupe performance sucks.

did you talk to supercoupe perf? or are you just bashing away like a mad man?

mistakes happen ,i have never heard something like this about them before, anyone else?

I ordered a set of coil spring a while back that were supposebly American Air, they came in as Strutmasters.. May still be good, but it was not what was advertised!:(

American Air's kits are Strutmasters kits. People buy the kits from Eddie (rather than Strutmasters) because his support is good.

Eddie sells Strutmasters...

I don't know if the op has talked with Bill about the problem... but I'd be interested in knowing how he handled this as I am planning on doing business with him in the future.

iv'e bought alot of stuff from them in the last year thats the mane reason why I'm so mad

a few weeks ago i bought a deep oil pan from him when i was putting in my shift kit and he didn't tell me to get the new filter to fit it so i called and I had him send it second day shipping it ended up costing me like 40.00 altogether for a 10.00 part. then I got it and it was the same friggin filter as my stock one.

When I called to see what that was all about his answering machine said he wouldn't be in for a week.

Other than that I really havent had any problems with the guy but I havent try talking to him yet about getting a refund.

You do know a lot of what he sells is drop shipped, right? He never sees it. He may have never seen the gears? Can't bitch too much if you didn't even look at them.

Bill's a good guy in my book. But he can't fix something he knows nothing about. You should give him or any vendor a chance to make things right before you start bashing them on public forums IMHO.

Jeez, look at all the crap Geno has put up with over the years. LOL :D

Like I said I haven't had a problem with him until recently, I just haven't talked to him yet because I sleep in the day I work third shift so I always wake up too late and then he's closed. That's my problem though

I've been doing business with Bill for a few years now. His prices aren't always the best, but that's ok with me. As a matter of fact, I spoke to him last week - he didn't say anything about being gone for a week. Vacation maybe?

The *only* issue I've had with him was the rear big brake kit. The ebrake cable on the Mark VIII hits the bolt holding the adapter plate and keeps the caliper from lining up correctly. I had to modify the ebrake cable to make it work. Not a huge concerned, except that it was technically illegal for me to have done so and I wish I would have known up front.

Aside from that, he is very helpful and forthcoming in his dealings with his vendors. I myself just ordered gears and a Posi from him, they will show up on Tuesday. Will see what manufacturer they are from when they show up...

EDIT, come to think of it, I ordered 3.73s but noticed he has 4.10s on sale. Wonder if he got a great deal on some knockoff 4.10s?

Ok, the goodie box showed up today. The rear end components (rebuild kit, R&P gears, & posi unit) are all Yukon. I've never used Yukon stuff, but I used to work for a Yukon dealer and I never had any complaints about them. Good enough for me....

Although a few of the other goodies I ordered did not show up yet - the poly diff bushings and speedo gear. Going to have a conversation with Bill and see what happened there.

Eddie told me they were going to be in Strutmasters boxes, didn't he tell you?

He didnt tell me anything..

I also ordered the shorter polyurethane sway bar links and when i got them, there was only one side. I asked him and he had to send me the other side. But he wasnt very friendly about it.. Like i said. "thanks for the help, and kindly asked when it would be here" and he said just replied with like one word answers..

:(

Eddie sells Strutmasters for a better price than Strumasters and better service and a longer warrantee. What more could you ask for?

Strutmasters and Eddie both use to sell Re-man Air Bags .. Strutmasters purchased all of Eddie's equipment to do the re-mans ... Eddie was able to sell the re-man cheaper than when he did them himself as Strutmasters is a much larger company.

You can't beat Eddie for Service ... he's the guy to go with.

I have another post about the Super Coupe Support braces, they are good quailty and seem to be doing the job.
The one issue I had with them is when ordering online, he charged my credit card when they were not available. It was almost 4-5 weeks before receiving them.
He should mention on his site when items are on back order and what the ship date looks like.
Just general common sense, he was slow to reply with follow up emails also.
I will most likely buy from him again, but not until the status of the item is known and will definately use a credit card, no cash.

I have bought quite a bit of stuff from Bill (SuperCoupes)and even stopped by his place to meet him. I think some of you complainers should realize that he is only one person, yes that's right he does it all, attempting to make a living like everyone else. He is not a cheat or a swindler, and an e mail followed up by a quick phone call always got me an answer as sometimes he gets jacked up also.

No one ever said he was a cheat, I just thought I would sheer wut happened to me with you guys, 8I've bought a ton of stuff from the guy it was really just this one incident I'm not trying to get you guys to not give him business.
