Don't Buy Gears from SuperCoupePerformance

This site has Nazi style moderation... HAHAHAHAHA.... We have:

Rich: Senile
MonsterMark: Never Leaves the Political Forum
Calibrio: Same as MM
Geno: Starts as much trouble as everyone else
Joey: Don't see much of him... busy guy

All I can say is LVC FTW!!

I see Cal in here fairly often. He & I spend a fair amount of energy arguing on the politics forums, but here in the Mark VIII forum he's a top notch source of Mark VIII info.

Who the heck is Rich, LOL?

Thats good to know, I have been to some great forums, and I have been to some pretty nazified forums, too.

nice to see that the 1st amendment is flourishing in some places.

ive done business with bill, as has my friend with a supercoupe, and everything has been amazing... he even has called to make sure everything came in alright and fit properly.

Rich is mespock.

LVC is the best.:dj:

About 2 weeks ago I ordered a set of 4.10's from supercoupeperformance. He told me they were Ykon gears and I did a little research and All I heard was good things about that brand so I ordered them. Didn't really inspect them when they got to my house. Brought them to the guy I was having install them for me and he calls me later on in the day and tells me there cheap gears made in China, he said if they were Yukon gears it would be stamped on the gears, he said he couldn't even get the pinion to seat correctly in it. Luckily he had a spear set of Ford Racing 4.10's sitting on the shelf so he installed those. Moral of the story Supercoupe performance sucks.

Ouch, I'm suprised that you would whip me after I explained to you in detail over the phone what I believe may have happened with your gears and you seemed happy with my answer.

Here is what I shared with this customer: We do NOT sell cheap Chinese made gears nor will we ever do so. The gears I sent him were from Richmond Gear and are considered first tier quality. I don't know why his installer took issue with them but I've ran across more than one mechanic in my time who bad mouthed a product that the customer brought in for them to install in simply because they didn't have the opportunity to sell the customer that part themselves and lost some $ because of that. I don't know if this is the case here but it certainly sounds like it as Richmond makes an excellent product.

We typically do sell Yukon gears and do so because they have one of the lowest warranty rates in the industry. We got a good deal on a few of the Richmonds recently and in my mind there is no difference in quality so the customer should be satisfied either way.

SCP ALWAYS takes care of their customers and ask anyone who has an issue to call Bill Evanoff first to receive satisfaction before you jump on line to tell your friends that "SCP Sucks". SCP continues to be the premier supplier for the FN10 community and will always back its products and service in an uncompromising fashion!

Good to hear the other side of the story.

I concur on Richmond Gears, I have 4.56s for a D44 and they are good quality. Not chinese knock offs.

Wouldn't suprise me if the Yukon Gears were made by Richmond as Yukon doesn't make what they sell. It is very expensive to acquire the equipment and technology to make gears that's why there are several channels in their maketing.

glad to see this is all coming out as I am building my shopping list for bill.

And from experience, I will totally back his remark of the mechanic bashing a part they did not sell....everyone is out to make money, some less ethically then others. I used to run into this all the time when I owned a technology company.

I'll admit I was debating on putting this thread up and I kind of felt bad after I did.

Bill is good people, everyone knows that.

I'm fairly certain "this" post did no harm to bill other than maybe hurt his feelings abit.

It'd take more than 1 unsatisfied customer to hurt bills business, he's got a very large and strong following.

I buy stuff from Bill, and I'll continue to do so.
he's always treated us/me right and with respect.

So apologize to him. If he attempted to make things right, you should point that out to everyone else here.

I sell a lot of stuff. Thankfully not $20-$100 at a time but I wouldn't like it if someone was running me down over one issue that we both worked to resolve.

Ball is in your court.

As someone who installs stuff, I gotta say, I don't knock parts brought to me, I just don't give any warranty on the install for product failure of products I don't source myself.....cause its not my fault if parts supplied by the customer fail. That being said, I don't try and sell anyone anything, if they ask for it I'll get it or if they bring it I'll install it:cool:

Were those Richmond gears though because I didn't see anything there says they were they just came in a white box with no pamphlet or anything and it wasn't stamped into the gears or anything. If they were Richmond gears I am sorry but after I payed $30 shipping for the trans filter I already had This just kind of aggrevated me.
