Don't look!!!

I don't know about that, but anyone around Atlanta this week should keep an eye out for it's evil sibling...

Most importantly, watch out for the driver! :D

JP, Glad to hear you are continuing on with your plans for this week! :) Give me a call if there is anything I can do to help you out.

If your itinerary allows, we are still having the pre-SSHS10 BBQ at my house on Thursday around 5-6pm. It would be great if you and your family could stop by, and kick back and relax for a few. :)

If you are still undecided, I will still send you my address just in case. Hope you enjoy your stay in the ATL.

...I would have rather seen the Russian Pithon Mark VIII in this thread....
sadly, yes :(
Sorry for your loss JP.
If this would be my car I would do everything I could to fix it. This car is not Just average Mark VIII that has some go fast parts installed. Loosing this car is like loosing a family member.

+100 fix it driller, if its straight up totaled make it an all out strip car. the blue flame is a legend it must live on!!

The adjuster has ruled it a total loss. :(

I expected as much. Value was put at $2875. If they kept the car, the payout would be $2375 considering my $500 deductible.

They will be mailing me a form for processing a salvage title with the DMV. After receipt of the salvage title application, they will issue a check for $2015.

Driller, I am lazy and stupid. Whats under teh hood?

John,

I'll have lsc bumper covers and moldings. A quarter panel, and any other parts you may need. I'm parting out my 94 in the next 2 weeks. Pm me if you are interested. I'll cut what ever you need out of the body.

Mike

Jeez that sux!

My brother just went thru something similar as my old man gave him a restored 76' 300D. Yeah I know who the hell would restor one much less buy it but he did and gave it to my brother. Then 2 blocks from my brothers house some tool kids in a Cobalt hit him down the drivers side.

Insurance wanted to give him $490 for it and after he argued with them he got a bit over 2G's after he bought the car back. He then sold it to a guy that buy's Mercedes to sell off for parts for $800.

It really sucks how much ya put into insurance and how little they want to give back

Ain't that the truth!

I believe my premiums have far exceeded any payout I'll get from this. I think it's about time to just carry liability only.

Insurance is one of the biggest legal scams.

john i run only basic insurance on all my marks because i know if i wreck it i will never get what its worth, but i know i can either fix them, or part them and replace them cheap, screw full coverage its such a waste of money on these cars.

It must be different here in canada, I talked to my insurance guy and he said that the last mark that got written off, the guy got back 4600 bucks! He told me that I'd sure get a pretty penny for mine if it was as good as condition as I told him.

Yeah, believe that one and he will tell you another one! Total your car and see how his story changes....prepare to grab your ankles bro! Insurance companies want you to pay out the @ss but when you have a claim they don't want to give you jack sh*t!

ASK and yee shall receive!!! Lol
Driller, really sorry to see that man, hope it works out for ya, you seem to have alot of support on here from alot of folks willing to part out their cars! I figure in 2 months you'll have that beast back on the road.

Good Luck.
Bill

Glad to hear your are okay John.

I think its time for LSC bumpers and moldings :)

I was thinking the same thing

Thats weird. In IL it doesnt work the same way. If the car is never sold to the insurance company then the title stays clear. My brother totaled my dads truck last year and my dad bought it back, but the insurance company never did see the title so it stayed clear. Just a thought.

Good luck with whatever goes on from here.

I live in Illinois and currently have two totaled out trucks with unblemished titles. Wish I could say the same for the bodies.
