I looked around a lot and see post from years ago mostly. I'm getting ready to order a ZL1 shoot me if you like they did an amazing job this year. But that's besides the point I asked how much they would give me if I traded my 2003 LS V8 and I was saddened they offered $1,000 so I'm keeping it it just rolled over to 80k miles.

Reason I'm posting is because I've always wanted to do more with it, I simply love the car, and I seen people have made turbos for it and that it is possible to fab a supercharger on it. But I can't find anywhere to buy one or anyone who even works on them anymore. Can anyone point me in the right direction or maybe contact me directly? I'd like to be able to pull it out the garage 10 years from now and still smile when I push the gas. If worse comes to worst I plan on simply hiring a builder and putting a HEMI in it (Kidding) but seriously a little help?

Figured I'd add a picture of old Abe just because

well then if you want to go the gut and race car route with little working aside from the engine, an american engine would probably be fine.

no matter how hard you look, you wont ever find a forced induction system that you can just buy and install, so if you want to go that route you're either gonna have to fab everything yourself and order all of the custom built parts to build the bottom end up, or call around to any of the speed shops in your area to find one to do the work for you. likely, you or them would probably heavily benefit from a couple of thorough reading through Alex's turbo build.

Yeah I just wasn't sure if anyone who did build one in the past maybe still does it. I don't want the race car route really just say 400 at the crank and still be able to have my cooled seats going. At the same time I don't want to fall $20k deep into a swap I get the feeling I'll just have to let it be. I just wish there was something I could do with that motor why would Lincoln make such a beautiful car and just stick it to us with a motor that nobody gave 1 crap about.

even summit racing is going to be able to help...

buying a crate motor and parts needed to make it run is a lot different that getting the car to work with the motor is the difficult part, especially since nobody makes anything to help with this. also nobody makes aftermarket internals for the LS so if you want to have your motor built so it doesn't blow the pistons apart, you will need to have a company custom build you a set. alternatively, you can try to retrofit a better built engine from the same family, in theory this should be fairly simple, but there will be differences that will need to be worked through one by one which either takes a lot of time, money, or more likely both.

These is a edelbrock nitros package for under 400 made to fit your car. Half a pie is better than none?

Hi, do you know the truth about putting light bulbs in the 1996 mark 8 without changing the system/ Advance has some that fit a mark 8 saying they plug into existing sockets

A 5.0 for the 3.9(I don't know whats yours) or a 4.6 , is one idea if it would line up in the ls

so you know you don't have to quote the entire first post to respond right?

and there is a huge difference between having an endless supply of boost from a F/I system vs the extremely limited amount of power you can add from a bottle, unless you're using it solely for 1/4 mile or top speed runs, its just not worth it.

also for the price you'll spend on a coyote, trans, and controller, you could just buy an entire car that is faster, better, and have everything works...

I don't blame you for saying that. I got ridiculed for this by some in past years,,, but I suggested a Maruader 4.6 DOHC. 300 Hp to start with,,, and could be built from there. Better value option would be the DOHC 4.6 from an Aviator. All aluminum... so it only weighs roughly 25 more pounds than the Jag 3.9 that was stock in the LS.

Of course,,, you'd need some "dummy plugs" for the VVT 3.9 sensors... so "electronic timing" always ran at a "fixed advance". Most likely need the Aviator engine control module too... and see if you could drop it in in place of the 3.9 ECM.

Next best option would be a 3 valve 4.6 with VVT. No need for "dummy plugs" for the VVT,,, but getting electronics to "play nice" could still be a challenge. Biggest issue there is that the 3 valve is mostly cast iron... so then you'd gave to beef up the front suspension on the LS.

Ford Racing did make an all aluminum 3 valve, (350 HP) 4.6... but it was a "stand alone"electronics system made for custom "hotrods", (and cost 7K IIRC). There is a company out there,,, that does custom wiring interfaces to drop GM 5.7's in just about any vehicle. Doubt they'd want the challenge of wiring a GM in a Ford... but they might have a tech smart enough to wire a 3v 4.6 in an LS,,, or maybe the aluminum DOHC Aviator engine.

At that point,,, the hardest parts would be getting an oil pan to fit the LS... and clear the speed bumps. Dry sump may work,,, but good luck finding the room in the engine compartment for 6 quarts of oil.

It's all possible... depends on what you want to spend. Easiest route would be the 4.6 bolted to a Mustang 5R55s... using the SST valve body and electronics from your own 2003 LS. Lincoln LS 5R55s won't work due to a different bolt pattern for the 3.9.

Just what I have toyed with for the last few years. Like to see someone take it to completion.
