Alas, it started yesterday, door ajar light stays on, any remedies ? If its a sensor where exactly is it? Thanks in advance.......

Spray your door latches with WD-40 and work the doors open and shut. Then hit it with some silicone so it doesnt happen again. The door ajar sensor is in the door latch.Should fix it

Now your suspension will vent when you shut the door. That happened to me, it wasn't venting because the computer thought the door was open. I did the WD40/silicone spray trick, the message went away, the car vented to the parked height AND would lose all of it's air more often because of that. If your air bags are good, you shouldn't have that problem though (mine have been replaced).

The car won't let air out of the bags with a door open, its to keep the door from getting caught up on the sidewalk or whatever your parked next too.

Thanks guys for the info. I took the air bags out last year, so no potential problem there.

Just did mine this past weekend, worked great. Wish I had seen this forum back when I had my 95, paid Lincoln $75 to fix. They told me they replaced the sensor...right?!?!?!

Cubster PM Ray and see what he did. He somehow eliminated the door ajar warning. He got tired of spraying with WD.
