For some reason, my Mark VIII sometimes chimes on harder braking. I believe it's the door chime. Thoughts on what's happening? The only thing I can think of is that when I brake, the g-force is making the switch making contact and the car thinks the door came open.

My guess is the little wire in the ignition switch is loose.
But i didn't think it had power going to it when the ignition was in the on/run position.

For everyone's enlightenment, the issue was that the driver's side door sensor, which is located near the hinges, wasn't being fully depressed to signal the door was closed. When I braked or put it in reverse and gave it the gas, the sensor would think the door was open. I put a very small piece of thick tape where the sensor strikes the door, which fully depressed the switch and solved the problem.
