Double din Nav suggestions

Is there a reason why Sony is never suggested as far as a dd. I know a lot of your guys run Pioneer and Kenwood but I haven't seen anyone with a Sony. I've always had great luck with Sony products (tv, computer, phone)...

Personally it's not the first thing I think of when it comes to car audio/video. Now if it were for home entertainment then I'd consider them. That's about the only reason for me.

Because pioneer and kenwood are better than Sony.

Sony used to be a big name and it's still great and better than others out there like Jensen. Installed a Sony deck in the girlfriends car and it fried. Installed a kenwood excelon and thought it fried but they have some type of special fuse that can withstand short circuits.

It was pulled and installed into her current vehicle and still works today. It's been 4 years.

i wouldn't say that sony is bad, they just have interfaces that all the other companies used back in the 90's, their screens are one of the best by far, but they also are rarely found at a good price, where pioneer can be found any time for about half of MSRP.

however sony actually did one good thing this year, instead of using their own horrible nav interface, they just use tomtom systems now, so they are much easier to use.
