Ah, I hate to say it but I think your right. The rear bumper on a V has the corner small wing look and the VI has a straight flow rear bumper, and the steering wheel in the pic looks to be 4 spoker VI also, the V had a solid plain 2 spoke wheel.

Just another reason to parade this guy. I bet he went home and made love to the sqwacking Sasquatch of a wife last night telling her how he out witted us in his replies. He is probably still flossing and pulling all the hair out of his teeth from all the foreplay.

It is a mark V. The trunk on your mark VI picture is a little bit shorter, and meets squarely with the C pillar. Notice in his picture, how the trunk is much longer and doesn't quite meet the C pillar.
 
Did not see that, the trunk on the ad has the header panel below the window, as the 80 yr VI butted up against the rear window.

I posted a picture of a 4 door, his is a 2 door. The trunk lid is the same on both.
Its a Mark VI.

Ah, I am right at first to agree with you, I thought I did not see the wings on the rear bumper corners, and the 4 spoke steering wheel also.

I am dizzy now :runaway:, got to step away from the back and forth. :D

Yes the steering wheel is a dead give away. Also, Mark Vs had the antenna in the front right fender. Mark VIs had the antenna in the left quarter. You can clearly see the difference in the trunks.

Mark V is a much better looking car than the VI, IMO.

Also another thing I noticed was the apron laying on top of the bumper on a Mark V is a 1 piece apron, the Mark VI is a 2 piece apron.

Yeah man, there are a lot of differences, they are different cars but with some similarities. Pictures in the Ebay ad suck, so I can see how someone can misidentify the car.
 
So I guess I am an idiot after all! I just went by the "77-79", which was the years of the Mark V. If it's a VI, I wouldn't have known any better. Despite all the differences you guys are pointing out, the car looks pretty much the same from IV through VI. The only thing I knew for sure was the opera windows which were introduced on the V.

The question is, who's going to tell him? haha

HAHA, I know, I presumed the same as you by the yr advertised. But after megaforcer mentioned the VI, I took a closer look and started to see the differences. Dude it is all good, we had our little fun with the Groom of the Sasquatch. And I also thought of sending him another info cast message that he still has it all screwed up. And to let him know that he can not read for sh*t if he has the title as he plainly states. Just to get him all worked up again and have to go and slap the sh*t out of the wife again. :D
