Drive shaft on 97 Mark VIII

I have this 97 Mark VIII that I am parting out. I have heard that the 93 is a once piece aluminum setup. I also heard the other years were a two piece. What I dont understand is what makes it a two piece? I am looking at this driveshaft and it appears one piece to me. Are the two pieces actually two separate shafts joined together by a u-joint?

Now I understand.. I need to check to see if I have the groove. I doubt its a 93 in there. Are there any uses for this 2 piece setup? I am building an AC Cobra and will need a drive shaft at some point. Could this be modified?

Scrap it or find a T-Bird guy who wants it. They actually have a steel shaft that is worse than the 2 piece on the Marks. I tried to give my 2 piece 97 away for free, no takers.

had a buddy who shortened up one for his fox body mustang
