Mine did this constantly and the odd ball fix is spray the door latching in the door as best you can with a spay lube while working the door. It actually fixed the issue.

Makes sense to me. The switch must be in the latch. Ha!

Clean the rubber seal along the bottom of the door really well. If there's crap on the seal you'll get the message. This is how I fixed the problem on mine.
