Driver Door Latch Assembly

Hey Guys, anyone know where I can get one of these assemblys? When I shut the car off the global down activates and my windows/roof open. Dealer says its this assembly and wants $560 out the door. I can do it myself but need the part. Ebay has an 02 for $170. I have an 05...will it work? If not any ideas where I can get one? any input is appreciated. Thank you!

That should not be the latch assembly. That should be the driver's door lock assembly (or it could be the wiring to it).
Please note that if you are willing to give up being able to unlock all the doors and being able to roll down the windows by putting your key in the driver's door, then you can just unplug the unlock switch wire from the door lock assembly. That would also mean that the alarm would go off if you opened the door with the key. Everything would still work correctly from your remotes, the inside switches, and the keypad on the door. Personally, I very rarely use the key in the door.

www.Fordpartsgiant.com and www.tascaparts.com are two sources for parts, but be sure of which part it is that you need. The latch assembly has nothing to do with the windows, but the lock assembly does. The latch assembly is the part that holds the door shut. The lock assembly is the part that you put your key in.

This sounds correct to me. I may have heard them wrong at the dealer. Currently when I put the key in the door and turn the the left to unlock...the windows will not roll down and all the doors will not unlock...it must be this part that is bad. I will give up those options to save myself the time and money to fix it. Thank you very much for your response.

Update: I pulled the door panel and unplugged the assembly from the actual driver door module....that solved the problem. Windows stay up and all other remotes/buttons work. Thank you very much for suggesting this. Quick and easy, did it on my lunch break in the shop. Beats the dealers' $500+!!!
