Has anyone bought these or known anyone that bought these?

Is this everything that is needed for the angel eyes. Basically, if I bought these and read the instructions, would it be everything necessary to have the same setup that I see for $350-$400 online? I've taken my headlights apart to clear them out, so that's not an issue.

I used the E-46 kit from the same person and have a set in my car right now. Not sure if they are the same size.

So did they come with everything that you needed to install them or did you have to go buy other items? Did he supply you with detailed instructions?

If I am reading your post correct u have already been inside your headlights and re-sealed them? If so how will get back into them seeing you probably used a silcone product to re-seal them? I am just pointing this out to you, as something to think about, cause the odds of u gettin back into them is going to be next to none.

I did put the silicone on one of them to reseal better. The one without the sealant hasn't gotten any moisture in it so I never needed the silicone for that one so that won't be a problem to take apart again. I guess I didn't think about that silicone causing a huge problem down the line, I was just expecting it to heat up just like the sealant did in the oven. If it won't, maybe I'll be successful with a flathead screwdriver or some type of knife. Any recommendations?, other then buying a whole new unit off ebay?

I got some on the way, should be here Saturday or Monday. I think you just drill a hole in each headlight and tap two wires from what I know. Here's an install guide http://www.lincolndde.com/lincolnfinal.doc. I haven't really read it yet. There's a thread somewhere that just simply tells you what wires to tap.

I thought you were supposed to use the e-36? I didn't get the wrong ones did I?

Yes, everything comes in the kit that you need to make them work. I bought some clear epoxy to glue them into the headlight and some silicone to seal the hole you drill in each headlight.

I used the E-46 set because it fit perfectly on the reflector assembly in side the light. I have used the E-36 set and you have to leave the bottom of the CCFL hanging. Just thought that the E-46's are easier to install and closer to the stock BMW look. Either one will work, you just might have to do alittle fabbing.
Here's a pic of what the E-46's look like, also take into consideration that I am 6'3" trying to take a pic of something 3' off the ground.

From what I have seen on other threads is once u re-seal it you are pretty much SOL. Sorry but I think you would better off buying another single unit, but you have make sure its the grey sealant and not the black that cannot be heated up and removed. Sorry just wanted to point this out to you, good luck. I have a set with grey sealants in my garage that I would be willing to sell as a set only if you are interested.

You'll be fine, just cut the silicone with a razor blade or something sharp. Make sure you clean off the old silicone before you seal it back up again.
I've had mine open 4 times and they don't leak, just take your time and clean off the old silicone.

So it's safe to glue these in? No clips? Do you have to clean off all the old silicone or could I just reheat the old glue in the oven with the angel eyes in to get them to seat correctly? Would this damage the angel eyes or wires?

I'm not talking about removing the grey sealant, just the silicone you used around the outside of the headlight. Resealing in the oven will not hurt the angel eyes.
