Those of you that have this Eclipse AVN5435 Does it play DVD Data disc while running the Navigation??

No, the AVN 5435's disk loading options are for a CD/MP3 CD and then a DVD/Map Disk in the second slot. If you want to be able to play dvds and navigate at the same time or without switching disks, then you want to get the AVN6000 I beleive. It has a harddrive that houses the map disk information and will also allow you to hold MP3 disks encoded at 1x speed.

Thanks man all i wanted to know so it sucks compare to my kenwood lol

Well I've never seen the kenwoods, but I know the Eclipse units are a favorite of people on here. I love mine, it does everything I want and it looks classy in the car. Just the right size, shape, and finish. The only issue I have with mine right now is that it sometimes takes a while to change tracks on an MP3 disk, but I suspect that's due to the bitrate I encode things at. The big selling point for me on this one was 1) I got a good deal on it and 2) Its easy to ground out the unit so you can watch movies whenever you want. I'm not sure what the process is on a kenwood.

the navigation that i have is a hard drive so it runs at all times never need to put in a cd

yeah i have the kenwood DDX6019 love this screen.
It does everything at once
no restrictions on this baby does it all i want.
Plays Mp3 DVDs basically u can put anything on a cd/dvd and it will play
Plays dvds while i drive grounding the wire is very easy.
The best of all is u dont need a DVD to run the navigation.
That means i can watch a DVD and have the navi running at the same time.

can I just buy the DDX6019 and watch dvds and have navi? or is there other parts I need? JattGary what exactly did you buy to get your sweet set up?
