hi.
im swapping a 93' engine into my father's 96' i was wondering if i can leave all the emissions junk *in front of the crank pulley* off? i want to swap the 93' manifolds on, and do away with this stuff.. so can i?
i know i will probably get a check engine light but wont affect how the car runs right?

the main reason is, the 93' manifolds are steel, and i can remove the cats easy, since i can weld steel, not cast.

i have a 98 i removed the same emissions crap so i could put on u/d pullies the car ran fine, just a check engine light. they told me that it helps the cats run more efficently

Thats part of an air injection system I beleive... and you can remove it, but lke stated you will get a CEL.

if you remove the air injection pump off you should only get a cel from a obd2 pcm only

would swapping some parts from other models would indicate from the sensors? I wonder how it will come up if some parts are different from bolting it to other car models
