Engine and Trans questions

Well the BossLSC sadly to say will not be a the Ford Nats now but i stil will the engine is finally showing her weaker side after 202,000 miles and the trans is starting to slip after its rebuils at 101,000 miles but i have some question since i am still young i dont know a whole lot about the engine swap i plan on getting the directions from snap-on's shop key but know the big part is i want power @ a cheap price lol.. i plan on getting another 302, i was gonna go with the cobra intake but its $300.00 and only handles up to 350hp its like the stock ho's but where is the best place to get a engine reman is ok with me what parts should i use stock and which one s should i buy high performance


Next is the trans i want the t5 but my parents said ill kill my self so thats out i got a quote for a overhaul at $1000 is that good the shift kit in it is worn so whats another good one....

Slow down, breath, and try to sort out your questions. You want to replace the engine and transmission, so there is a lot to cover. If you want cheap performance, nitrous is the best bang/buck. 4.10's are up there as well, along with the T5. You're best bet will probably going somewhere reputable in your area and having most of this done, as doing a complete overhaul is a lot to ask of a first timer on their own.

It wasn't easy or cheap building a 12 second Lincoln, so I kinda know first hand..
