Throttle Position Sensor Intermittent
i changed the PCM
checked the voltage
checked all the wires
i spend a couple hours with a snap on computer running test and everything checks out......but when i drive it the light comes back on always still acts the same..

well my question is do you guys think that its the ECU??

thanks

Okay, this is a 2002 V6 correct?

You say you changed the PCM, then you ask if it is the ECU, which is just another name for the PCM. I am confused.

Why haven't you changed the throttle position sensor? It would seem logical to try that.

i'll let off gas my car rpms stay the same and it wants to go like the throttle is getting stuck
when i step on the gas its very slow to react

i meant the plug that goes into the ECU when i said PCM

and its a 2002 v6 and i replaced the Throttle Position Sensor already

Before or after this problem started?

What about the connector at the throttle position sensor?

Why did you replace the PCM connector?

i have seen a couple TPS being installed wrong and what i mean by this is that when u move the pedal there is a small leveler that moves the TPS if not installed right the leveler will not move the tps

if you have the scanner u need to run a swap on it and make sure it does not have a dead spot on it.

I would also check the wires to make sure they are good from the sensor to the ECM

i checked the voltage coming on of TPS connector its not enough so i found a ford focus connector laying around the shop and got a different reading so im gonna get a motorcraft TPS connector 2mow from the deal...
