So it was the PCV hose I mentioned then?? I haven't torn into a v6 model, but your description sounds like it.

You were right obout the PCV you mentioned. The PCV runs from the throttle body into the engine block. What happens is, the PCV runs from the throttle body into a Steel Hose about 4 inches long then becomes PCV again only 3 inches long into a steel box that is conected to the enige block.
The problem is that 3 inch PCV!!!! It sit's right on the engine block so the heat of the engine burns the PCV.
