Enough Is Enough Damm It!!!!!

Bob,

What are you upset about? We are a multi-national nation. I think we should sing the anthem in Englsih, Spanish, German, Russian, Chinese, Arabic, etc.

We are being invaded and nobody wants to do anything about it.

I drive from city to city and I see all the little mini-cultures that are being set up. You know, cities within a city. Little Mexico, little Cuba, Chinatown. That seems to be the way things are going.

Get used to it. If you are of European dissent, your time in the majority is numbered.

Brian, What I am upset about is this obvious slap in the face to all we American citizens by a low life citizen wannabe groupe of illegal aliens.
This is another way of telling we American citizens to fu** ouirselves.
These illegals, and their sympathizers came up with this as a way of saying we are here in this country so we are American also.
This is just not the way things work, and this bullsh!t has got to stop.
These low life Bastards are here illegally(get it?).
No national anthem, no street demonstrations , no amount of political crap is going to alter the fact, this illegal infiltration into our country from the southern border is just that, ILLEGAL.
They are ILLEGAL ALIENS PERIOD. and deserve nothing but a trip back to where they came from.
Just because they are here in large numbers does not make it any more legal.
All it does do is make it more difficult and time consuming to get rid of them.
Bob.

The fault for this illegal alien influx to this country lies squarly with all politicians, be it local or national.
For years the problem was growing, and no one did anything about it.
Reagan made it ten times worse by giving amnesty in the eighties, allowing millions more to get here, and now, it is up to the politicians to take the bull by the balls and get it solved.
I doubt they will though.
Bob.

Oh oh... You just said something that could construed as being negative towards the Gipper. Better duck, the right wing scythe is coming at ya!

I flew into DC today, and the radio station programmed intomy Rental LS had a guy on who quoted Bush for saying something to the effect of "If you live in this country, you should speak english, and sing the National Anthem in English" I did a silent cheer for him. Do I agree with his philosophy? Damned skippy I do. I am a naturalized citizen as well, but you know what? I learned effing English, and I don't agree with this debauchery of the Star Spangled Banner. You live in the US, learn the language, and sing the countrys' national song in English, damn it!

Then, the same mouthpiece was talking about how Bush doesn't support an additional tax (I can't remember what they called it) on the oil companies. I just shrugged, and kept driving. Personally, IDNGAF about the gas prices, but that's just me.

What are you talking about? Reagan was wrong about that.

Conservatives like me are intellectually honest and we can call out our leaders when they're wrong.

What about you? Do you criticize your leaders when they are wrong?

What I find particularly offensive by this isn't simply the fact they are singing in a different language. In the process of "translating" the song, according to the news, they've completely changed the words, meanings, and ADDED crap about multiculturalism in some of the popular versions.

My biggest problem nowadays is the dual linguistics in our country. I go to Lowe's all the time with my wife b/c we're doing some light remodeling, and I have the hardest time reading the names of the products b/c everything is printed in English with Spanish right below it. I mean, I can read the English, but the Spanish distracts me. It's REALLY annoying. I just got back from Lowe's this morning and I said, "Is there a country I can live in where English is the ONLY FREAKING LANGUAGE?" And she said, "Yeah, England."

I actually stopped for a second and considered it.

This is one I agree with GW on.

My ancestors, Italians, did a funny thing when they came to America.

They came here legally, and earned their citizenship. Oh, and they learned the language too.

Imagine that!

I agree my parent came here from Greece Legally I might ad and became citizens and learned the language for that matter and no one ever put out labels on the store shelves for them. Instead of trying to accommodate them make them learn. I have been to many places in this world which have not been tourist minded which most of our states are not either and I didn’t see any 2way labels in their countries. I made sure I know at least a few words to get around before going to where ever I was going why can’t they? Not saying they should be fully lingual but at least know how to ask for direction instead of stopping me in the street for directions and stat talking Spanish to me assuming that I know (I do but that’s besides the point)

So do you want to thank liberals or conservatives for this b.s. ?

Hummmmm.

Which of the two parties in this country is more tolerant of this crap?

Which party won't allow us to defend our borders?

Which party won't allow us to send illegals back?

Which party doesn't want to establish democracy throughout the world?

Which party won't allow us to drill for oil and take care of our own energy needs?

You can sit there and whine all you want. You know who the problem is.

But one of these groups is not STANDING UP NOW for what is right or wrong. One of these parties has left their balls at home.

Conservatives had a chance to run this country the right way and they are screwing it up bigtime.

Here is the problem with “sending illegals back.”

Our Country has accepted their presence here, until most recently. True or false?

In fact they were most welcome here when in 1999 - 2000 the Internet exploded, and related construction activities tied up workers such that you could not get a worker unless you booked at least six months in advance. True or false?

You cannot say today that we did not need them then, when at that time we did.

I think that a reasonable solution to this is to first announce our new policy. Make it clear we are not kidding around.

Second, is to establish standards where those that can prove that they are actively employed get to stay here.

Third, is to give the rest a reasonable time to leave, maybe up to a year.

Why waste our resources on this issue when they should be used in protecting our Country against terrorism?

Otherwise, we are treating human beings as if they were cattle. I think that approach is unacceptable.

If the Republican party takes this viewpoint now, they will win many friends.

I agree with everthing you wrote. That seems like a reasonable resolution.

OK, you are scaring me.

Notice that when I say something, it gets done?

the aliens are not going to show up for work monday here in IL and I assume else where, so they can protest on how much work they contribute to

Both parties are screwing up big time. We need to get rid of them all. I'm an independent with conservative leanings, and have voted for both democrats and republicans. Now, I'm fed-up with both parties!

Regarding the National Anthem, the issue, in my opinion, is not that it’s being sung in a language other than English; rather, the words are being changed, which typifies a lack of appreciation. They (so-called immigrants) may claim to love the United States, yet, they think they are above our National Anthem with their politically correct B.S. I don't want to hear their B.S. about how they love the United States, yet, are willing to protest in our streets putting down our country while waving the Mexican flag. If they love the United States then they should learn English and assimilate. If they, or anyone, for that matter, wants to celebrate their native culture, fine. But, don’t impose it on Americans--After all, our country is THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA! They think it’s their right to ignore our laws. These are the types of so-called immigrants we can do without. If they think Mexico is so great, then GO HOME! They are certainly not going to be welcomed by me when they come to our country waving the Mexican flag chanting "down with America" or some other B.S. That's not free speech, its stupidity!

Quick fix...Mine field...Dead Zone...No man's land. Armed helicoptor gunships lay waste to anything that moves within 15 miles of the border. All entry through this countries borders not done through proper checkpoints is considered hostile.

That's the only way you're going to fix the problem. Until then there is just too much north of the Rio Grande for the poor and downtrodden of Mexico to gain...and far too little to lose.

We don't NEED illegal aliens for anything. I have a friend who builds websites and he subcontracts work to programmers in India over the Net. We don't need them to come here illegally in order to employ them.

Start enforcing the laws and many of the rest of them will leave of their own accord. This is documented to work, and there's proof of it. If they see that our govt is serious about enforcing the laws on the books, they'll think twice about coming/staying here.

Present tense, for sure.

Now, what do we do with all these people that were led to believe that the USA condoned their coming here?

The present is easy; what do we do with the past?
