Alot of it is more than the balancing.

When you step up the gears, your spinning the driveshaft faster. The faster you spin it, the more centrifugal force your putting on it. After so much, the center of the shaft starts to "walk" off of it's center line, which causes the vibration we all feel.

The ONLY thing that I have gotten to stop it was a call to Dennys driveshafts, and a 2 week wait. Both of my cars have them, and I would'nt trade them for the world.

Gotcha.

What he said.

Incidentally, has ANYONE with a Dennys have to return theirs for reballancing?

I am still trying to track down an elusive shake after new Dennys Shaft, FMS 3.73 gears + posi, Carrier Brace, Polyurethane bushings and raxles half shafts.

One of my guys will be dropping my Mark off at the mechanic's while I'm gone. Any ideas you all could come up with for the mechanic to investigate and help track down this annoying problem would be greatly appreciated. If your idea fixes it, I will donate a One Year LvC membership.
Thanks a bunch. We now return you to your regularly scheduled annoyance.

/thread hijack.

I noticed all of Mr. Wilson's threads are rated 5 stars...Gee only one vote on each one? Wonder who that might be....

That would be me voting his threads "5 stars". They crack me up and get me through the day at work - it's the least I could do
