I'm going to try and improve my gas mileage with some necessary upgrades anyhow. Wishful thinking ? These are what I'll have in after this week. Right now I'm at 14 city / 22 Highway

New Fuel Filter
KKM intake
CAI tube (necessary?)
Plugs

Also, I read an older post about someone using a Tornado ? He seemed pretty adamant that it worked. Has anyone else tried ?

Anyway. I have seen the mileage complaints. But, has anyone seen IMPROVEMENTS with any mods ?

Changing to a less restrictive air filter, getting a custom tune optimizing gas mileage, 5w 20w oil, new fuel filter, and spark plugs should help. Save your money and pass on the Tornado.

Forget the Tornado. It's a gimmick. If you get an SCT XCAL II, I've read that you'll get a few more MPG.

before you get too crazy though, do the math to figure out how long the savings from the improved mileage will take to pay off the improvements. Unless you're doing this for the good of the earth. then knock yourself out! But since you're driving a V8 car, I suspect you're just looking to save some coin...

Nah, I'm just kinda lazy and dont want to hit the pump as much. I knew what I was getting into with the v8, also.. this give me a chance to turn some wrenches, albeit small ones... but some none the less

Want better fuel economy? Put on some skinny tires, like 195/60R17.
Want performance? stick with wide tires.
You can't have your cake and eat it too.
