what did you take a piece of the woodgrain and cut it to fit your Head Unit part? send me over some Jay-Z music video dvds, i cant find none over here ; )

yeah i cut the woodgrain piece that was suposed to go on the oem stereo and placed it along the sides to make it look original.....where do u live?

I guess I'm the only one that thinks that's waaay too much wood & looks anything but OEM. :\

Just to let the cat out of the bag a little but we have been working with Pioneer to offer the factory navigation face plate. According to Ford, the factory nav system is made by Pioneer which has the face plates. Now they are only available in Silver since that is the only color the 2003 and up LS's center stack interior comes in.

Josh, looking good!!

Here is what the bezel will look like.

lol i guess? but i like it and you can have your opinion....

That is alot of wood, but it looks ok. I'd get the wood shift knob. That would finish it off nice, the leather one looks out of place now.

no they dont... as with any aftermarket stereo upgrade you loose your controls... but their is a device called dont quote me on this a pax switch? or something like that... it allows you to use your oem controls from the steering wheel...

Speaking as 50+ conservative white dude. I like the wood kit. Good job!
Reaches for the metamucil/blood pressure medicine/ prostate medicine/viagra to protect myself from the flames....

No flames but just wondering why you had to identify yourself as a "50+ conservative white dude". Who cares and what diff does it make?

not any difference, really. I like cars, performance and appearance items for cars. Just added the comment for a little humor. Sorry you got your shorts in a wad.

Absolutely you can get your controls back! I think it's PAC isn't it? You can get either an infrared controller if your new stereo uses that or a hard wired (best) if your new stereo supports that...such as the Pioneer AVIC-D1.

I just got the D1 for christmas and was looking at the install instructions. I see where it has an input for the hardwired remote. What needs to be done to hook up the steering controls to this unit. Nothing else needs to be purchased correct?
