Does anyone here have any experience hooking up the PAC swi jack steering wheel controls? The instructions they give really aren't worth a ****. And what would be the easiest way to run rcas to my amp? I have rcas already but to make a long story short the previous owner had some wal mart rcas and it causes ALOT of engine whine through the sub.

I set up that steering wheel control adaptor in both my 02 and my 06. I cant remember exactily, but I went online and printed out the instructions. You have to cut 1 wire in the vehicle harness (white IIRC) and just attach the power, ground, and one signal wire on the adaptor. Then you set the mode, and go through the programming sequence. As far as RCAs go mine are ran on the passanger side (both of mine 02, 06) and I have no interferance.

I run RCA's right down the middle, there is a large power wire running down each side of the car.

I ran my RCA's and remote wire down the passenger side as well. I pulled the front and rear rocker pannel covers. They are just held on by clips, and a nice firm tug will get them off.

I ran the cables out the stereo hole, under the passenger side under dash cover, then down the trim piece that has the fuse box behind it, and then down the rocker panels. I then ran it under the back seat to the trunk. I did the same for the remote wire for the amp. It hid the wires perfectly when I put the trim pieces back in. Since the batteries for these cars are in the trunk, it makes the power wire run cake at least.

Loud, was it a pain to run it down the center of the car? And a little insight on how to?

not really, !st ges are the easiest since the top of the center console come right off, but 2nd gens are not that much harder, just a few more screws.

you will want to pretty much completely unbolt the center console (you dont need to remove it, you can just life it out of the way) then remove the rear seat (there are release tabs in the middle of each of the side seats).

that hardest part is going under the carpet down the trans hump, you may want to remove the side trim panel to get a little more carpet to pull up, it also helps if you have somebody to hold the center console up and out of the way while you run the wires there.

Down the center is probably best. When I ran mine on the passanger side I ran them on the floor pan rather that in the wiring channels provided by the factory. The door sill covers and rear seat come out easily.
