breakin myself in with this one. i'm a SHO fanatic, and can turn a wrench pretty good. got a friend who's got an 04 LS8 with a bad fuel pump. i read the how-to that was posted, but where can i find just the pump without the entire sending unit? does walbro make one for the LS? i firmly believe he you gotta replace something, may as well upgrade.

Since you only want specific pieces, Maxx @ Five Star (right side bar) might be your best bet, since he could get you any other related stuff you might need. IIRC, forum members can get a discount too. Or you could take your chances with Ebay.

nope - the Ford OE parts guys can only give you the OE assembly - which is the entire cradle, sendign unit and pump.

here is a Walbro kit for V8 Gen1 -http://www.fuelpumps.com/20002002-lincoln-ls-fuel-pump-8-cyl-39l-a-efi-p-2250.html - I do not believe there is any difference in the Gen1 vs Gen2 units - but hope someone can confirm that.

I have used these guys many times - > http://www.autoperformanceengineering.com/
the flex hose (about 1/3 of the way down the screen http://www.autoperformanceengineering.com/html/kits.html ) is OE type the LS uses.

awesome! yeah, methinks this lady's gonna be a little happy with me since she won't have to pay $900 for someone else to do it.
