Hey all

I'm not going to be able to do to this car what I wanted. I rarely drive it and it's got a lot of miles 195,000. I know it's mostly highway miles. It's smoking some and those plastic parts for the cooling system need to be replaced. 2,000 Cdn OBO.

Run it unpressurized with such high miles? ... I'm not into that.

That's WHEN I'd run it UNpressurized. I'm not into spending money on junkers. The plastic would probably last as long as the car if Unpressurized and 60-65% antifreeze run. If you DON'T unpressurize it,you'll surely be replacing plastic. don-ohio :)^)

Just shut the f*ck up Don, no one cares or believes your unpressurized fairy tales.
There's holes in your theory and you haven't provide us with the correct facts to back your position. Just a lot of two year old lip service.

I'm tired of your false misleading unpressurized but did overheat and replaced parts story!

Sure,BR...............we'll just let the guy put hundreds of bucks into an old LS when he COULD just run Unpressurized 60% antifreeze and avoid those costly repairs. He's gonna spend enough just keeping it on the road. Makes SENSE to me! LOL! don-ohio :)^)

Hey BigRig! Aren't you in Ontario Canada? I'd really like to see my old fella get into the hands of someone that can take care of it.

Yup close to the Nation's capital in Ontario.

No offense but that's got too many miles on it, probably all winter driven also and I already have three of them. I need another Lincoln LS like I need another hole in my head.

Thanks for the offer though, I'm actually looking to sell my silver 01 V8 Sport soon, if you are interested.

Eventually, I'll be getting into a near new 370Z.

If your parting out, I'll take that front bumper cover and headlights for .... Hmmmm ... 300$ ???

Sorry for not replying sooner. I'll not be parting it out. I went back and re-read the info I got when I bought it. I got it from a small autoshop. They said the original motor had blown and they got one from another car. The other car only had 30,000 kms on it. So the engine is only 35,000 by now. Can I confirm that by checking any numbers on the engine against the VIN?

I took it to - I think - one of the members of this site. He went over it with a fine tooth comb - lifted the valve cover on the driver side - there was no oil in the spark plug wells. It's definitely got a head gasket issue - and it needs an oil pan gasket. I can't justify spending money on it because I have to use a shop.

I don't know what to price it for - but I'd rather see anyone on this site take it, instead of scrapping it.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
