For Sale...Custom Front License Plate Brackets

i don't think i've ever been this excited to put the front plate back on my car lol

what color do you guys suggest i paint mine?

I have a little ceramic white pearl (f6), from paintscratch.com, laying around from another project. Also have black and white dip...

thoughts?

EDIT: my car is Ceramic white pearl.

Have you installed the bracket yet?

Do not trust this guy. He only joined to sell his stuff :p

not yet, it took forever to decide where exactly i wanted it. I've actually decided not to mount it on the bottom of the bumper...too hard to explain where exactly i will be mounting it lol

i'll take a pic tomorrow (hopefully), i'm trying to do a quick photoshoot.

Now I am really curious as to what you are up to.

Side placement

I highly recommend these guys.

I hope you guys are putting a slight downward angle on these front plates. The cops that use laser are trained to sight on the front plate because when using the factory mounting method the front plate is a flat reflective surface directly facing him. A slight downward angle will cause most of the laser energy to be directed at the ground rather than back at the cop. He'll still be able to tag you because it won't be 100 percent, but his effective range will be greatly reduced. It doesn't have to be much, just 15 degrees or so, to drop his return signal enough for your laser detector to pick him up and give you time to drop a little speed before he gets his reading. The advantage will be small, but every little bit helps.

Excellent tip!! Now, if I ever re-install the front plate.........

Excellent tip!! Now, if I ever re-install the front plate.........

It has two screws per side, correct? Install a couple of washers between the mount and the car on the rear of the mount, and it should tilt it forward far enough to stop the beam from being fully reflected back without appearing to be heavily tilted. 15 degrees off up and down should be plenty.

The holes are 7" centers across and 4 11/16" centers top to bottom. If this is different from the Canadian plates let me know and I will design one for you and anyone across the border

I'll measure up our Canadian plates for the spacing of the top holes.

~ might be the same, not sure.

Hite, almost forgot about this. (actually I did)

just measured our Canadian Ontario plates,
comes in at 7" center across and 4 3/4" center top to bottom.

close enough ?
4 11/16" same as 4 12/16" which is 4 3/4"

good to go far as I'm concerned.

PM'ing you tomorrow after work.

With this being installed lower and in front of the bumper, what would happen if you pull up too close to a curb when parking and hit it? I've learned to park way back from curbs but now and again I rub a little.

Still probably going to buy one. :D

The plate hangs down about a half an inch below the bottom of my bumper. I'm not sure about the 06 bumpers. Marcredd or mlara may be able to answer that.

+1....about 1/2 of an inch. I am just learning to treat the front end as if it is lowered when turning into inclines or going over speed bumps. Sh**, I am doing the same backing up now that the valance and tips are on.

I dont care too much about my valance because its cracked anyway but if I curbed my tips I'd be upset! I thought I found a rear valance to buy but someone would rather throw it in the trash than take $100+shipping for it...lol. Some people just dont make sense.

Yeah, I bet it goes in the trash....

But what if my state doesn't require a front Lic. Plate :p:D:p:D:p:cool:
