For those who are looking for the OEM lower grill insert!

Incase the item sells and they delete that page, here is the info:

Same here - looking to fill up the missing passenger-side chunk (black 01 LS V8 non-sport), though it looks from my limited browsing you can only get it at either a dealer or junkyard.
 
Why is that part sepertate?

You look at the lower grille and it has a line on the right side, which is the above picture .. Easy access to somethin?
 
If I can remember correctly, I think I read some where that there is a tow hitch in there but don't quote me on that. I've actually had minds out when I found out that it comes out. Like I said don't quote me on the tow hitch though.
 
Unfortunately the 01 LS V8 I scored on the cheap ($2,000) was missing this piece. :(
 
It removes and there is access to the control arm, which, I guess, can act as a makeshift tow hook. I got my LS stuck in my level driveway like six times this last winter and unfortunately used a heavy chain to get it unstuck and it slammed down on the lower part of that grill, smashing it and destroying the hanging panel. I fixed the grill myself with rivets and spray painted the new piece from Ford
 
I just bought an 02 V8 that is missing that piece as well. Where can it be purchased, or can you put in a mesh type insert to cover it up?
 
Does anyone know the part number for this part? I went to the Lincoln/Ford dealer today, and they said they didn't have the part number.

I have one of these in new shape black in colour. I hear this item is really hard to find and ford doesn't sell them anymore. Does anybody still need one before I list it on ebay. I seen one go on ebay in Nov. for 50 bucks.

Yes - when the LS was slotted for sales in Europe - a requirement is for place to insert a tow hook eye - like many german cars (bmw, audi, merc, ...etc). It only applies to the 'sport' model - which was the version targeted for Europe. When Ford gave up on going to Europe - the Gen2 LSes did not have this.
 
Does anyone happen to know what color this is (the one ordered from Trademotion)?
