finally found a ride height sensor, i was thinking about sellin my mark cause aftersepending 250 on just the dignostic test to find out it was just the sensor fordwanted another 200 for a sensor. but i finally found one at a local junk yard along with 2-3 othermarks that have decent body parts to replace my rusted trunk lid and doors. so im hoping to have my mark redone and painted with in the next6moths to year. and i foundmy mising foglight in the trunk behind my spare tire of all places.

Stop taking your car to the dealer. You spent $250 on something that you could have done yourself for free in a matter of a few minutes. It's as difficult as grounding a wire, then closing and opening your car door. Chalk it up as a lesson learned and then next time you can ask us before spending that much money.

The dealer sickens me. I wish I could be evil enough to charge someone even $50 just to run the air suspension diagnostics, let along 5 times as much! I'm in the wrong line of business. I guess I just need to sell my soul and open a stealership.

Well Put Josh well Put

I basically concluded, it's not worth spending $300 to have the dealership diagnose a problem that'll only cost $80 to replace. If I have a hunch it's bad, I'll just replace it. More often than not, I'm right.

When I'm wrong. I'm still ahead by $220, so I'll go down the list of process of elimination, and I have one less part that'll break in the future.

Now that is another well put solution! I agree... You may miss it the first time but the next you hit it and have less problems in the future.

Better yet do the diagnostic yourself for free and don't throw money at parts, and parts at problems. Check out the situation properly and you are not stuck counting how much money you have left over from your mistakes. Do it right the first time.

forget coils, now that the air ride works is 100 times better than any coil cars ride. i only bought the car for 300 so with the parts labor and dignostic test.
i've only spent around 600 on the car. i need to find a trunk lid and 2 doors with no rust holes and with a desent paint job i'll probly be some where within 1000-1200 $ theres nothing wrong with the engine or trans and its got about 111,000 miles on it.

Don't get me wrong, I like air bags... But the reliability of coils is so much better than bags. I wouldnt want to have a problem with my car dragging on the ground and bottoming out if I was on a long trip!
