97 Mark VIII LSC with air suspension problem, Ive read almost every thread and cannot find the answer.
Ride height at front is 27" instead of 24"1/2. NO airride suspension light. The Upon starting the airbags fill up (to full I think) and then deflate about an inch. The front and back both vent properly after getting out. Everything seems to work proper but the front is Jacked! I checked the height sensors to see if they were played with and everything looks factory. I checked the control arms to see if they were out but they look fine. Any ideas??

adjust the front sensors..
BE VERY CAREFUL loosening the 11MM nut

The actual bolt is very very cheesy and prone to SNAP and you cant just run down to autozone and buy another one.

to lower the front right height you would loosen the lower bolt that holds the sensor to the bracket and you want to "compress" the sensor to lower the front of the car.

Basicly..loosen the bolt and push the sensor UP.
Do this with the air ride OFF so the car doesnt try to adjust the height while you have your arms/hands up in there.

hope this helps.

P.S. when you measure the height, what points on the car are you using to get that 27 inch measurement?

the correct measurement will be from the top of the wheel arch to the bottom edge of the wheel/not the tire

I am measuring correctly from the bottom of the rim to the bottom of the arch. I have tried adjusting the sensor heights by raising the lower sensor bracket. There was a slot so I was able to easily adjust the bottom of sensor up about a 1/4 " . My problem is different than this I think. 3" is a lot! It looks very odd. I dont want to adjust the sensors out of spec if the problem lies somewhere else. I was playing with the sensors last night by removing the top from the ball end and slowly compressing the sensor to try and hear a click or get an idea of how the sensor works, and while holding the drivers side sensor compressed the front end vented completely, but not all at once. I was shocked at first and expanded the sensor and it stopped venting, and then I did it again, it vented, I had to change positions to keep my arm but I was able to make it vent all the way down to "slammed". I then fired the car up hoping that the front bags just needed a good venting to get below a limiter, but they filled back up to full. I think that they are filling to MAX (28") and then a limiter tells them to vent 1 inch for driving (27") and then 1 inch for park (26"). But these heights are all about 3 " too high.

Can I take apart the Height Sensor and check the internal settings??

Note: Rear is maybe 1/2 inch low, This car sat under a tree for 5 years

I am almost done all the retuning. (P1413 after the ride height, which I have narrowed down to an ERG vacuum hose that is not as I think it should be, but that is another thread)
