Actually came out of my '94 mark8. Has 143k on it, and in great condition. Looking for pickup due to size. Located in Bear, DE 19701.

Price: $125 OBO

Do you have a pic of a 94 one piece DS or did you put it in yourself?

I pulled the car apart myself. I can get a picture when I get home from work. It's a very weird car for sure, cause when we pulled the motor the valve covers said 8/01/94. The door tag is something like 9 or 10 / 94. So I thought it was actually a 95.

Ok, just so you'll know. If you pull the shaft, it will come out in one piece but towards the back of it, if you see a gap in the shaft, it's a 2 piece. A one piece will be from a 93 only and will not have a gap in the aluminum at all. Maybe you have a 93 shaft that came in the car when you got it but if it has never been changed, it should be a 2 piece and again, it will hold in the hand like it is a one piece but with the gap, it's considered a 2 piece.

Ah crap, it's a 2 pieace then. I just thought that gap was part of the design. I had a 86 merkur xr4ti and it actually have a joint in the shaft and was flexing under suspension movement. That's what I thought I was looking for or something similar.

I just didn't want you to send it off to someone and then they get it and well, you know the rest. When I pulled mine out of the 94 for the first time, I though to myself, it's in one piece lol. Turns out, with the gap being there next to the end, it is a 2 piece.

If someone wanted to, I don't see why they couldn't take the two piece and have that gap welded by someone that knows how to weld and fill the gap. It would then be a one piece shaft. I have a one piece in the garage and all I see where the gap is supposed to be or close to it is a nice welded bead. Balancing after the weld might be needed but still...

That joint you speak of, that's what I thought I was looking for too. Don't feel bad.
