Hi,
I have a 2000 Lincoln Continental, and just wondering if you recommend fuel injection cleaners???? OR better to stay with just regular fuel?

My fiance has a Lincoln Town Car, and doesn't recommend at all....

any feedback?

In my opinion, if you want to clean your fuel injectors take it to A. your dealer or B. a valvoline or something like that and have them do it the right way. those three dollar bottles are a waste of your money in my opinion that is

Ya want clean injectors, use Premium more often. Premium is somewhat less oily and burns much easier & hotter for the engine. The result, a smother running engine and a little better fuel economy.
I tell you what, I had a pinging in my 98 Conti. I now use premium every other fillup, And every other I use plus (89). But I stumbled on a sunnoco with 100 octane in Jersey & 94 Octane. I put about 2 gallons of one 100, and the rest 94. Then I put in in a good injector cleaner. Jeeze , it worked wonders. Took away the ping, the car flew and it retored my gas mileage.
My 98 though uses alot of gas when I do use 89. If the difference is 5, 10 cents I stick with premium cuz in the long run, It might be just $1.80 in difference & I will have a better running car and in help out keeping the injectors clean. In addition, I use the cleaner after every oil change, dunno about wasting money but I notice the difference. Just do'nt waste your money on them 99 cent cleaners like you can get at walmart, don't really feel any result with those kinds.

if youve got the intech in your car, i would assume 91+ octane is required. i know it is in my 99 towncar with the sohc 4.6
