So I wanted to change out my head unit getting intermittent issues with the CD player and the nav is kind of outdated, looked at some replacement units but not really liking the way that they will look installed. So what I plan on doing is installing my T-Mobile Tab 2 10.1 in place of the current unit, the device will operate the same as the current head unit with many additions, live internet, Bluetooth, text messaging, current and live Navigation, internet, millions of songs due to the unlimited storage capabilties, pandora and such, not to mention movies and the fact that it will look real clean and sleek in the vehicle. I plan on Rooting the device so that I can create or dl a custom ROM that when i turn the key on the device wakes up, music starts, nav starts, etc.... and when the key is turned off it all kills. Also can be hooked up to the ACC for when the vehicle is parked, I also seen some other installs where they had went with the vitals on the car displayed on the actual unit, such as battery voltage, speed, fuel, etc......any ways let me know what you guys think, currently working with a developer to create a custom Lincoln, or Navigator wake up 3-6 sec vid for when the device is activated!!!!!
