According to the LS's estimations, I've been getting about 15.x in the city and 17.x on the highway. It sure is a big differences from the supposed 17 city and 24 highway that's listed.
What reading do you get on your LS?

I get around 25 on the highway and around 17-18 on the streets. This is when I am driving normally. I have a 2004.

Highest I've ever gotten is 16 (estimated city MPG for the 2006 is 18), but I just got an oil change, so maybe it'll go up... although I'm only going to be here for like 4 or 5 more days before I go back to France until July, then I leave for New York at the end of August... so I guess I'll never really know? haha Oh, and I've never taken it on the highway.

I tried to get an 03 for the fuel economy but price was to steep. Oh well...I still like it anyways. I know my wife is very happy with it.

The best I average is 18 mpg, I have an 01 V6, mostly highway miles. My wheels do make the car use a lot of fuel though.

I've had mine for almost a month, it's due for an oil change and I have been getting between 17 and 19 mpg with a mix of city and highway driving.

On my second tank, I did the math myself with the old trip odometer and the amount to fill it method and came up with 19.2 but the message center said I was getting 18.4 at that time.

Mileage will vary alot depending on driving style, road conditions etc. The LS seems far more sensitive than other cars I have owned. For example my F250 with a 460 V8 gets about 10-12mpg almost no matter what I do.

My 2004 LSV8 has gotten as low as 14mpg and as high as maybe 26.

14mpg is in short trips stop and go with some decent hills. 26 mpg is pretty much a smooth cruise at about 65mph with no traffic. The very minute I get off the freeway, you can watch that 26 go down into the dirt.

My average 30 freeway mile one way commute I get between 18 and almost 21mpg. What makes a big difference here is whether I am travelling at 80+mph just to keep up, or if I am going about 65mph on a different freeway. Also traffic makes a big difference, whether I take any surface streets, and I am pretty sure the weather makes a difference. As it gets warmer my mileage is inching down. I am wondering if it is the change to the summer fuel.

Anyway, the LS gets terrible mileage, IMHO, if you do anything more than granny driving or hit any traffic. When it is in a steady cruise it does well, but then so does a Corvette or even my tank low tech 96 Impala SS. The LS and SS get almost the same commute mileage, which was a disappointment to me.

YMMV(your mileage may vary)

I have a 2003 Premium Sport V8 and I consistently get 22-23 mpg on about 60% highway-type driving. I am thrilled with the fuel economy on this car. My previous car was a 1998 Contour SVT that delivered 26-28 mpg but was not nearly the car that this LS is.

Hey Gator, I have a 99 Mystique V6, check out my photo garage. I like the SVT contour, looks real nice.

Your signature tells the story for me in why you are getting crappy mileage. All that extra weight is probably cancelling out the extra you would be getting from the KKM.

Also check your tire pressure, 10lbs low pressure will kill as much as 5mpg from your mileage.

I get about 18 in town.

25 to 27 on highway (Depends on conditions)

Avg, 21 to 22 w/ 50/50 driving.

I also have 156K on mine, so I am happy w/ my mileage.

I get 25-26 at steady freeway speeds and as low as 13.5 in town on short trips.

I'll get 24-25 all highway, and can avarage 20 on a tank with say 70% highway. Its hard to say what I get city only but I can tell its pretty bad just based on how quickly the average drops if I haven't been on the highway for a few days. I been driving my MarkVIII for work lately, it seems to get about 5mpg all around better, 28-29 all highway and 24-25 average with majority highway. Even city wise it never seems to get below 20, it doesn't drop average nearly as fast as the LS. Heavier car, larger motor, strange.
