gas release button not working

so i picked up my car from the body shop and today put gas in, i press the release button , and nothing happened the gas door was still closed i had to open the truck and pull the release manually,

is their something i can do to get it to work (aside taking ti back to the shop and telling them to fix it)

i mean they probably forgot to plug something in idk might be a simple fix, thought id ask

is the switch connected? that panel the button is connected to is easy to take off. I'd start there and work back... Im sure there's a fuse for it somewhere also...

It could be as simple as an alignment problem. If they worked on the fender make them fix it.

That same thing happened to be on my 97 continental.. I never did get it fixed, I just took the latching mechanism out.
