gauging interest 97 lsc for sale

Dam,jamie i just sold mine about a month and a half ago ..Black on black I was the second owner and it had 80,000 original miles.BUt ill keep an eye out for you since we live near each other..Where is your new shop at i was just down your way last week and i was gonna stop buy your old shop then i remembered reading you got a new one..
 
That 2nd one is pretty nice, so it seems. I wouldn't pay $5500 for that over Jamies car though. It's just too common, and given that I see cars like that for less, not worth it. Modded foxes are dime-a-dozen, and really only cool at all because of the mods/drivetrain. A base mark is still a great looking car without "make-up" (rims, and other appearance mods), a plain jane base fox with no special stuff is one ugly bitch. I'm not trying to piss in any cheerios here, I just couldn't imagine ever wanting anything like that with the car Jamie has. I like fox mustangs, to a point, I drove one for a bit and it was ok, so I'm not just hating here.
 
If Jaime put a supercharger on his car he would forget about the Notch.

I have a 89 notch mustang black on black. I love that car. Driving the mark, is no comparison too what the 5.0 has down low. But from driving that roomy mark viii, then switching to driving a mustang. Its gonna feel a little cramped believe me. Your mark is killer nice, wish i woulda found one like yours when i was looking for one. Good luck

Cramped? Yes. Also, the tin can, burlap, and recycled plastic effect will be another factor. I love the exterior design of the fox mustang, I like notches, even though I prefer a hatch. But as for the interior, and the feel of driving each of the cars, the mustang can keep it's low-end. However, I did see a very nice custom interior in a saleen once that was so nice I'd have changed my mind for that car.
 
well big mike i think jamie must want a mustang if hes selling his mark to get one...I was just posting some up for him to look at..And really notches really arent a dime a dozen.I got $8,000 for mine and you dont see many notches around anymore unless they are 4 cyl swaps.Ive had about 12 marks and about 8 foxes and there is times when i had a mark and wanted a fox and vice versa and there were times i had both and wanted something else.Im sure hes just sick of having the same kind of car for so long...ANd i dont think you talking ish about foxes is gonna change his mind..Im actually thinking about buying it from him since right now i dont have a fox or a mark..I got a supercoupe and a lincoln ls

I think he is having second thoughts about selling. Or maybe it's just the voices in my head. ;) Don't take my little devil's advocate stance here personally, I'm just laying it on a lil. I know you like both cars, etc, etc., but wouldn't you want a good guy, with a sweet car to stick around? He hasn't even gone to run at the track yet!

People love to get on a high-horse about thier own opinions, and I'm okay with that, I do too. However, I think we are misunderstanding eachother and you are a wee-bit miffed that I'm not jumping in to agree. I really am not talking sh*t, being that I have had personal experience with both cars several times, and am being an active part of the conversation. I really don't feel I have rained on any parades. All along the way here, in my "ish" talking I also mention my affinity for both cars in question, but you seem to let that go by the wayside.

I have multiple times stated that I like foxes, the $5500 modded notch was nice, but not because of the car, it was the work that made it nice. That illustration is my whole point; foxes are nice stock, just not more-so than Marks. Foxes are usually good sellers, I agree. However, it does fluctuate a bit I see really good deals fairly often. I don't mean dime-a-dozen literally, or in the essence that foxes are cheapo crap-cars.

I have noticed all common performance car platforms hold decent resale value. You got $8k for a car that holds little *actual* value, and lots of value for folks who want a performance car, or a collector who wants to have a real nice fox to remember how popular they were when we see the nostalgia of that statement in the future. This really drives my point home, not the inverse.

An understated, powerful, and stylish car that most people don't know well makes loads of bang for the buck for a unique solution to performance and style. When compared to the tangible value-per-dollar, and the uniqueness factor you get for your buck I win with my views, when you compare other factors, it's your game. Foxes sell well due to the demand from being popular, in other words, the resale is artificially high for a car that isn't a "classic", "antique" or, "rare". Marks are opposite for the most part, they are worthless in dollars. Which means yes, for puposes other than enjoyment factor, Marks suck. All that in addition to the fact that they won't get you laid by high-school chicks if you time-machine back to the Vanilla Ice era, and they break easy. This makes you right, and me as well. I like this solution.

I am sorry I wrote a book and pooped on Jamie's thread, I am glad you got a good price for your car, and I think Jamie will have a sweet car in a fox if thats the road he travels. I really am not trying to hate on anything or anyone here, but hey, I already said that. Either way: How often do you see a fox rolling down the road with all the goodies? Now answer the same question about Mark VIII's.
 
no i understand you,Thats why ive 12 marks because for what you pay for them there arent many cars that can compete with them,I actuallylike the stock look of the foxes,But i would rather have jamies car then a fox also...Its funny when you pull up to a fox and stomp on it and keep right with him...Thats also why ive had 3 supercoupes they are kind of a mix of both cars...but i was looking and the pic jamie had of the fox ,they are asking $8000 for it.

no one is reading what i wrote, first it says gauging interest, that means, IF i decided to sell my car and IF i found something that i wanted to buy who would buy mine, but i didnt post it for sale, i never said it WAS for sale, the whole thread was a big I-F. so, IF a moderator sees this thread could you please lock this one i am not doing anything right now i shouldnt have started this thread i am keeping the car, i have another complete motor in my shop that i am keeping and after tax refund i am paying staff back what i owe him for helping me get my 98 and i am having the motor i have machined and i am going to build a single turbo motor for my 97. my buddy brian is a cobra nut and builds retarded cars down here and he is begging me to let him help me build a turbo motor for my car, so after thinking it all out and pricing stuff thats what i am doing. so this thread can be locked, thanks.
