THE P R N D L doesn't light up anymore. I have searched on here and haven't came up with anything that helps me really. I have a 02 lincoln ls v8. I took the top off the center console and tried to look under the gear shift and I didn't see a bulb or anything. There for a while it wouldn't come on but sometimes it would. But it hasn't came on in a long while now. Any ideas?
Gear shift lights do not work.

Burnt out bulb. I don't remember the Gen 1 shifter layout, but it's probably similar to the 2nd Gen. See if the shifter top comes off; it probably does; and look for a clear plastic piece. Under that should be a mini bulb.

you either have a bad bulb, loose socket, or a wiring issue (least likely), if you don't see the bulb or socket, you didn't take enough apart.
