Gen 1 color match grill & mouldings

Well, in a few months when I have the cash, I'm going to repaint my hood, passenger fender, new grille, new door handles and chrome strip over headlight.
This is going to be interesting. I've never done a pearl paint job before, and I was recently told by a body shop that my paint is actually "metallic" I said oOOoooo that should make it easier

Nope

Waiting on a certain package from a certain someone ....and I'm not done with the hood. Hooking all the electricals up tomorrow

I had the pleasure of meeting 96 Mark VIII in Spring Lake today. We noticed each other on the road by chance. I turn off before him but he came back and introduced himself. we looked at each others Marks and exchanged some contact info then parted. Always nice to meet a fellow member.

what's th best procedure (sequence) for prepping/stripping/priming the grill and other chrome trim pieces before repainting?

You'll have to either sandblast or mediablast the grille to get the chrome plating off or somehow strip it off otherwise any peeling parts will ruin the paint you put over it..if the Chrome is still all intact you may be able to get away with just scuffing it with sand paper and painting it..but if the Chrome is still good I wouldn't want to ruin it by painting it.
