Gen II LSD

First of all sorry, I know there are posts about putting the 28 spline 8.8 trak loc diffs in the first gen LS's. What I am looking for is a complete parts list of what I will need to make this work for the gen II. To my understanding, I need a gen I diff case, gen I cv axels, and the LSD itself. I just wanted to make sure I wouldn't be needing a custom driveshaft or custom mounts for gen I diff case. Also, any diagrams or instructions on tearing this stuff apart would be appreciated. Thanks.

That's essentially all you need. Anything else would be parts already present that just need replacement from wear and tear.

Its a fairly simple job, no custom parts needed. I did everything except set the ring and pionion gear. I recommend having a shop set the gears unless you know what you are doing.

Ya, I was gonna have someone else assemble the diff and bolt everything else up myself. And thanks for the clarification guys.

The Ford 8.8 IRS is very similar to our Gen I 8.0 IRS (same exact parts inside other than the cut down ring gear and unique pinion). There are a lot of very helpful rebuild write-ups on the forum where they use the Ford 8.8 IRS, such as this one;
