since i have had my ls for 3 years now its 01 and everytime it rains real hard it leaks up on the passenger side post that is by the windshield. i took it to a wildshild glass guy and he took it out and didnt find any thing
Anyone else have this problem?
any quick fixes

Sounds like the drain hose has pulled apart in that corner of the car. I've seen that problem mentioned several times in these forums.

I've never had this problem. Maybe someone who has will chime in.
I have removed the pillar/post trim before and I have seen the drain hose. Just pull down the door gasket from the top and front side of the door opening. Now pull off the pillar trim. You will have to pull pretty hard, but it shouldn't break. Now you will be able to see the hose and trace it to where it is probably disconnected.

My Ls did it last april and my Aviator is doing it now, my service manager told me to get an air hose and blow it into the drain hose that runs through the sunroof, i willl run down stairs and take a look at mine to get a better understanding

Ok now i feel like a complete dumbass, i didn't see a hose around the sunroof i even tilted it to see, i will check the LS tomorrow its parked outside and its below 20 now.

Go to http://deneau.info/ls/
Select "body" on the lower left.
The select roof opening panel.
There are some troubleshooting guides (including for leaks) and an exploded view. It shows where the drain hoses attach to the moon roof assembly. It doesn't look like you could get to them through the roof opening to blow them out.
As I've said, I haven't had any problem with either of mine (yet), but I have read of others with problems. I don't recall any that had blocked hoses, but I do recall some that had hoses that had pulled apart.

Dude I had the same problem. Found out the "water dam" that leads from the moonroof to the fender had a crack in it and they had to get in and use Sealant. It was a 300-500 dollar job but my after market warrenty picked up all but my co-pay

I had the same problem on my passenger side. The hose had come loose from the drain tray.
You will need to remove the handle on the ceiling panel, the A pillar trim, and prabably the visor, and the weatherstripping along the top of the door jam. Pull the headliner down enough to see but be careful, you should see a black hose coming up the A pillar. If it has just come loose use some pliers to work it back onto the drain nipple. I put a zip tie on it and never had the problem again!!
Hope this helps you!

Mine did that every time it rained. I didn't feel like pulling the headliner down, so I just plugged the front passenger drain port from up above with some of that fun tack adhesive gum stuff... that was 4+ years ago and have had no problems since. It's got 3 other drains, so unless you're under a fire hydrant, shouldn't be a problem.

Tonight the damn track assembly went haywire. got it open, now it won't close, got it closed and sealed, now it's jammed solid.

I'm ready to toss a flare in this thing and say the hell with it... it knows it's being replaced by a newer one, and is pouting in my estimation...

I had the dealership do it since I did'nt know what the problem was...was a 350 dollar fix......

Holy sh*t! Someone else with the same problem that I have! I first noticed it when I saw an icicle on the passenger side :p

Mine had a tan-like stain around the pillar on the passenger side..it got so bad it was leaking water all the way and dripping into the part of the passenger door for maps...I thought it was a leak from the door like it was the rubber damn lining around the door....I was having to soak the :q:q:q:q outta the water on the passenger side until I got the thing fixed.....

What if the water is getting in on the DRIVER'S side? Every time it rains, I notice that my windshield pillar gets wet and that water accumulates in the little plastic cubby compartment underneath the window.

Does the drain hose only on the passenger side?

I have this same issue on the passenger side. Noticed it a couple weekends ago so will try to look at it today.

mine did that too and the sad part is it leaked into my a/c vent on the far right passenger side and when I make turns water would start coming out and also i would get water filled in my passenger side door panel's compartment thingy (forgot what it's called)
