Getting a belt for my '97! Will a '93 belt work?

I was on Rock Auto about to order a belt and they have one that is a closeout item but it is for a '93! It is not listed in the catalog for a '97! I need to know if they are all the same if you have a stock engine? The engine I put into my '97 is actually a remanufactured engine out of a wrecked '93 anyways. So if you guys know if it will work I would really appreciate you all letting me know! Thanks guys!
 
i looked up dayco part #'s for both and they are diff..5060975 for the 97 and 5060980 for the 93.

i would think it whould work though..idk
 
Daniel, I have a belt here if you wanna come get it. It'll last you till you get one in and it's from a 93 or 94 but either way, they're both the same. You can have it for nothing. I have an extra in my trunk spare tire tub, (besides the one I'm willing to give) with the pry bar for just in case purposes. Just give me a call if you want to come get it.

Hey Terry thanks for the offer but mine will be here pretty quick. I already ordered quite a few parts. And thanks again for the radiator, and looking that part up for me! I sent you a PM about a Gen 2 LSC I found at the Junk Yard. It looked pretty good incase you need some parts for ebay! LOL Oh yeah I got the fan out of it today for free. My buddy owns that place. Well folks I appreciate the info on the belt. I went ahead and ordered the cheaper one for the 93 based on the info I got from here. So you all saved me about ten bucks!!

I'm just now seeing this and wondering why you came and got my fan lol. If you got one for free...

I kinda need mine back for just in case purposes.
 
I thought when I got it from you I said I needed to BORROW it because I thought I messed mine up? That would mean I planned on giving it back to you! I'm kinda wondering why you say this after I already text you about bringing it back to you once, but you were'nt feeling good and did'nt sound too hard pressed for it! Yeah, I said I was going to bring it by anyways but my car did'nt act right when I took it off of the jackstands that night! I don't know what the Fock it is but folks are starting to rub me the wrong fuggin way!!! Dude I'll bring your fan by first thing in the morning. Don't worry about that!

I got that other Gen 2 by the way, if you know anyone that wants to buy one I will let it go for $3200! It has 81k on the clock and has a brand new completely rebuilt front end!
 
The fan isn't a big deal Daniel. Yes, you texted me and said you were bringing it by that night at 10:00 because you were going to be out riding around and no, I didn't feel good. I had a bad ass headache for some reason. I'm not trying to rub you the wrong way and the reason I wasn't hard pressed for it is because you said you would just put it on the porch. Again, it's not a big deal. It's just a fan lol. I just noticed that you got another one for free so one would wonder why the borrowed one hasn't been brought back. You know I don't have anything against you or you never would have got a radiator from me for cheap and I wouldn't have loaned out a fan to you.

Not sure what's going on with anyone else on here but I'm the last one that is trying to get under your skin. I was just simply asking, that's all. hell, I let two hillbillie fukkers come get two of my Marks and I have yet to see my 98 trans and three Octi's come back yet and believe me, I am hard pressed about that and going hunting for them tomorrow. I have two titles to two cars they took from my house and they don't have my signature on sh!t saying they could have them. I promise, the fan is at the very bottom of my list of worries. I guess I'm kinda like you, things are just rubbing me the wrong way. I'm sure you understand.
 
I guess the reason it sounded messed up to me is because I posted about getting the free fan waaaayyy before I came and got your fan! That is the fan I thought I messed up when I asked to borrow yours, but I put it back into my car that night that I told you I was going to bring yours back and it worked just fine!
 
lol, sounded messed up to you? Look at your posting date. 14th, correct? You came and got my fan on the 6th because I went to Florida on the 7th and was driving back on the 11th. So 8 days later is waaaay before you came and got my fan? Just keep it dude. I don't foresee needing one anytime soon but if and when I do, I'll go buy a new one. It's just money. A 17 year old fan ain't worth all of this bull:q:q:q:q.

October 14th, not September 14th so you need to read some sh!t right before you go talking sh!t about something you don't know! Seems like you need to take some zanax's and calm down! I don't like being mistaken or made out to be an azzhole or liar, but when someone tries to I really do become an azzhole and whatever other mean word you can come up with to describe an angry mother focker! Ok, you got me on that one. You did post before the trip. Sorry about the confusion and yes, I did go last night too long without my med. It's all good man and again, the fan isn't a big deal to me. I'm not seeing the "big boy tone" you speak of. I just read something wrong and said what I said but not like threats or anything. Either way, do what you want with the fan Daniel. I don't need it and again, I apologize for misreading your post. I'm cool if you are.
btw, I'm not much for socializing with others and I am a quiet person, even with people I do know. I try to stay laid back for the most part. When I went to Jamie's to get the 95, I spent a while in the shop and stayed quiet the whole time. That's just me but you'll never see me online talking about kickin asses like some do on here. I'm not the type for that.

Anyway, I'm good if you are. It was just a misreading.
