As a few of you already know, I will be getting rid of our 97 Mark VIII soon.......as soon as I get through with the testing of the air struts and get the car 100%.

I replaced the rear air springs when I first got the car, which are arnotts. They are less than a year old and are for sale.

Keep in mind I have always liked the Mark VIII and honestly bought it for testing of new products and for an extra car. I have the chance to trade this car for a car I built dang near 20 years ago. It took me 4 years and approx $25K to do it. I would feel like a fool not to make the deal.

Wow, a guys Mustang....that's a sexy lookin car right there sir.

what engine is it running?

Right now...a hopped up 302. When I get it back, probably a stroker windsor. Already got some pretty serious heads(ported & polished steel Trick Flows) & pistons & all, so I'll have allot of the stuff already for a windsor. :D

....as well as a 250 horse nitrous!!!!

I can see why you would want the mustang back (minus the wheels) but does this mean you are giving up on making new parts for our mark's.

No, there's allot I can still do without having a Mark VIII on site. Keep in mind I've been building stuff for the Mark since '99 or so.....and I've only had a Mark VIII for 2 years. Having it may have speeded things up a bit, but now I'll need someone to test stuff for me again.

BTW, I'm "looking down the barrel at 50 years old" now, so I admit it, I like the old school look. You will NEVER EVER see the "new style" wheels that are out on either one of my rides! :D

I think it has less to do with the style of the wheel and more to do with the backspacing, but all in all its a good looking car.

That's one badass car Eddie! The 69-70s have always been my favorite years, bar none.

:) welcome to "50's club!
Nice stang....almost bought a 67 for my first car.
Stroked Windsor is a good choice for that car.

I have a 64 falcon, starting to lean towards 385 series.

One of these days.....

It could be a nice car but it's still a mustang. You see them every day in Georgia

:I Other than the backspacing on the rear wheels, the car looks sharp!

Must be some place. To see '69 Ragtops all day long....thats my kinda place.

LOL, showing my age again. Back in the 60's & 70's, thats how we did it.

this is a lincolin forum

Yep, and Eddie is one of our most valued members. Not just LVC, but the whole world-wide Mark VIII community. The man is working to bring us awesome new front air struts, he brought us his spyder valve and and other awesome Mark VIII goodness. So I'm really not sure what you're trying to say.

And his Mustang RAWKS. I'd sell my Mark just to make a down payment on it, and then work a second job to get another Mark VIII.

Well, I'm staring down thirty and would give my almost anything to have my 69 Mustang looking that good. I have a little one on the way so I feel like Johnny Cash and have to do mine one piece at a time.

Just updating an old post I made awhile back. I finally beamed me & my car into this century(new wheels & tires)
