So I guess you would consider buying a 89 TTA or 92 Typhoon silly? Or even a 94 Mk VIII?

Just cause you can afford a new car doesn't mean you will only buy new cars. Some vehicles hold a special place in the hearts of prospective buyers. My buddy has a CLS 55 and a 81 Corvette side by side in the garage. The CLS is his daily beater. The Vette is his pride and joy.

Now I'm not hatin' on the hookup you have at home but don't piss in someone else's Wheaties just because you don't appreciate the automobiles you've got.

1. I dont want to take out a loan
2. I buy cars with cash only so that means I buy 5-7 years old cars all the time. I will not pay interest on a depreciating asset. Im glad you bought your LS new see what it will be worth in 6 years from now, and you will see why people buy used. Yes they are not under warrenty however the repairs usually outweigh the cost of a new car.

as long as the motor and tranny is solid I will fix the other issues which are minor window switch, cop, vc are easy fixes and not too $$

Buying a $36k car for $7900 is a good deal for the second owner.
