good ol show down at the track

NHLSV8....you seem to have missed several posts in this thread...i said numerous times... 2004 BMW 330CI M Package... the key word "package" that included a tightened suspension, attractive body kit, sport seats and steering wheel, 18-inch wheel and tire package.

The BMW M3 and M5 and M6 are the original M3 with minimum at least 333HP to 500HP for 2004.

If it's a manual that's a different story the top end on the LS is a lot better than the 330 especially if it's an automatic and will eventually catch up. We also raced from a stop to 120, not just a 1/4 mile.

is it better to get a bunch of guys together for a test and tune and split the cost? your basically renting the place right? How much is it? I can probably scrounge up 4-7 people including myself.
 
If he has a 6 speed and you have a 1st gen LS I'd put my money on him. I had an 03 and barely beat an automatic 04 330 and that was only over 100mph. He said his car was starting to cut out at around 120 which is when we both let off.
 
but dosent the CAI and intake tube and exhaust put the 1st gen right beside the sec gen?
 
How am I owned? It really wasn't that impressive. You should try it sometime and I bet you'll get the same results. A second gen LS v8 will take an auto 02-04 330 no problem, that I would put money on. I had a KKM intake but I doubt that did anything but sound pretty and I doubt putting in 87 made me lose a ton of horsepower. And I know NYC was just poking fun.

But no Slavko, I don't think you'll win unless he screws up his shifts pretty bad.
 
wasnt the LS desgined to out pull the 540? I'm not sure how that stacks up to a 330, but of similar years the LS should be in the mix at the very least

So sorry for not knowing what each F'ing model of BMW is or has.... I own a lincoln! And since you wanna be a prick.... I own two, and both will smoke you and your brother so bolt on this!

Could have just said that the M package wasnt the M3. Thats all you needed to say.

The V6 LS was designed to compete with the V6 5 series(530).

The 540 will dust a V8 LS.
 
a gen 2 LS would give the 540 a good run.. the v8 540 runs mid to low 14s at best i think..
only a few more ponies... but i'm pretty sure it hammers home some serious TQ numbers and might even be a few pounds lighter.. but not a dusting by any stretch

i DUNNO IF THIS MAKES A DIFFERENCE....BUT i HAVE A 2005 ls v6....AND i BEAT MY FREINDS 2003 bmw 328......wELL, DOESNT SOUND THAT IMPRESSIVE NOW THAT I READ IT AGAIN, AND THINK ABOUT IT.....BUT ALL I HAVE IS A CAI AND HUGE HEAVY RIMS! I WAS STOKED! JUSS RACE HIM AND SEE WAT HAPPENS! GOODLUCK BRO!
 
If you figure about 10 hp for every 100 lbs, he's got you...you'd be giving up about 50 hp.
 
There is no 330ci M package. There is a Sport package and they is a ZHP performance package.

The red one is a 330ci ZHP Performance Package car with 235hp and above listed upgrades.

The silver one is 330ci Sport Package car with 225ph.

So which one does he have?

i would've thought these cars had more horse power. i'm sure other things considered they make up for lower hp w/ weight and such things. still, i'm surprised.
