If you want to run lean, yes.

What are you talking about this time? I installed the 900 cfm megameter and the only thing that happened was an increase in performance and my overall satisfaction with my car.

To answer you're original question, YES, the 900 cfm megameter is a great place to start. Think about some upgraded wires, the 255 lph FP, Kirban FPR, all for under $500 and you're car will be noticeably smoother and more responsive.

If you go with the 87-90MM units you will be lean. Actually with the 87-90MM units you will need to have a performance chip installed to compensate for the size difference, but with the 900cfm unit you are fine. If you run lean with the 900cfm unit then you most likely had a problem before the 900cfm unit was installed it just was not noticeable enuf to show up until you installed the unit.

I would also look into some new plugs/wires (depending on what year you have)/fuel pump/Kirban fuel pressure regulator. The reason for the pressure regualtor is because the factory regulator can not handle the higher fuel pressure that the fuel pump puts out. It will handle it for a short period of time, but the diaphragm will give out sooner or later.......much sooner than it would if you have the stock fuel pump in.

I haven't had any problems either with that set-up. I made my own cold air box. He asked the year because 97-98 didn't have spark plug wires, they're coil on plug.

would i have a problem if thats all i put in for now?? ill prolly end up getting the chip as well...

You'll be fine. I ran that in my 96 base with a chip, but now I run it in my 96 LSC without a chip. Actually I have a chip, just didn't install it yet. Do have some other mods now, but I did run it as the only mod for a while.

Yeh, I'm kinda new but I'm pretty sure there's some history to it. Everyone on here seems to cool to single him out for no reason.

I like Mr. Wilson he makes me laugh :-D and yes there is history from when he first came here that he will never live down ;)

I dont know....Ive heard of some people having trouble with them. I have also seen/heard a lot of people praise these things up and down. Now, my car runs too lean. But after all, I did buy mine off ebay for 80 bucks, So im not complaining. All i need is a sample tube to adjust the A/F ratio...

well someone should make a MrWilson thread i guess..... i like too read what everyone has too say cuz im still learnin alot about the car i just dont wanna mess anything else up by starting to modify
