Hey everyone,
Just bought a 2003 TC Cartier for my wife. Could someone recommend a good wax product and a good leather cleaner?

Thanks.

I use Armorall leather wipes and mothers wax...

I was a 100% Meguires until I tried the Turtlewax ICE this past weekend. I friggen love the stuff. Easy to use - sun /shade does not care, black plastic trim - make it look like new, no white nasty residue to clean up!

It is not for faded or damaged paint!

I now use this on my two Thunderbird show cars.

Meguires Paste is still my main wax for my Van and Wife's Mustang. Only drawback would be the possibility that they use silicone, which will inhibit and kind of repaint - must be taken down to the metal (not a concern for my show cars).

I use Meguires foam treatment for my leather and the Meguires Leather wipes for the quick clean.

That really depends on what you want. Turtle wax ice is a good product for the interior due to the fact that it drys clear and leaves no white residue even if you happen to miss a spot. Meguiars is a carnuba based wax that will likely "deepen" the color of your car but will not last but a few weeks realisticly, even less in the summer. If your looking for maximum durability you should look at a synthetic polymer instead of a "wax". I recommend Zaino (about $80ish for the whole set) or pick up some Meguiars NXT* Tech Wax. That and Nu Finish are the only products sold in most stores that I believe are not carnuba based. I don't recommend Nu Finish tho because it tends not to last near as long at the latter, its a polish (which you don't need because your cars newer, AKA it takes a verysmall amount of the clear coating off of your car when you apply it).

So in short the simplest solution for you is to get Tech wax unless you really want to get into car care.

Oh, and I would'nt recommend mothers, not because its not a great wax, but because you have a lighter colored car and it isn't really appropriate for this situtation.

I always use Mother's for car wax, and I use lexol for the leather... Stay away from Armor-All, it has silicone in it. Silicone is half the reason plastic dashes crack and split

i used Meguires but am look, ing for somthing better i just purchased zymol wax and turtle wax ice Quick detailer. trying to find the perfect combo

Zaino will give you the deepest wettest looking shine that will last. Yes it is a wee bit more expensive but it will last longer.

I prefer pinnacle products. Leather conditioner actually smells like real leather seats.

Zaino is very good for lighter colored cars, especially with flake and metallic paint. Pinnacle is also a very good wax. If you are looking for bang for your buck, Meguiars NXT 2.0 isn't a bad choice. Another bang for your buck wax that I use is S100, it is actually a motorcycle wax that is close to the formula of P21S German Imported wax.

If you are worried about durability use a sealant under the wax like Klasse or Poorboy's World.

I belong to a great detailing forum and they have a photography forum with different shots, usually showing the waxes etc. that they use.

Try autogeek.net or detailedimage.com for products, they usually have imported products at the lowest prices I've found. You can pick S100 up off of Autogeek.

As far as leather goes you can't go wrong with lexol, but if you really want to bring out the true softness of the leather try a product called Leatherique. Using it in hot weather will really make the product permeate through the leather and soften it.

I've used a myriad of brands and products, Meguiar's Mirror Glaze #26 is still my favorite

It's not a one-step or cleaner/wax, the paint needs to be thoroughly cleaned and a pure polish applied before the wax.

My advice would be to find a product you enjoy using and stick with it. What some may like you may not. I've seen people stick with regular old Meguiar's cleaner wax for years and their finish looks amazing.

Awesome look drock, one of the benefits of a dark color. Mine is the pearl white.
