Goodbye LS Hello M5

Beautifull car man. i really like it. worthy upgrade.

Thanks. I am still pinching myself. Even driving her to the gas station is a thrill.

My wife calls it my mid life crisis. She is happy though, since as she puts it, a car is better than a motorcycle or a blond :D

LOL, I hope my wife thinks like that when I get to that stage :D

As far as plans for the M5, it is so awesome stock (and it cost so much) I can't think of anything to do to it nor could I afford it right now!

i know, i know... but you gotta want to do a little extra to it to make it YOUR ride... right??

cai/exhaust/wheels/audio/video... some type of hopes(plans)... eventually...

how bout once its paid off... then what?

Still not sure. It's going to take a while before the "newness" rubs off and I decide to do anything.

One nicety, the previous owner had a K40 undetectable radar detector installed. Totally stealth.

The stuff I am considering right now is a Bluetooth kit and an Ipod adapter. One of the things I like about the LS THX system was the 6 disc changer in the Dash. In the M5 it is in the trunk (nice that it comes with 2 cartridges though). I keep telling myself it's all about performance (50-50 weight distribution) :D In fact it has no spare tire. It comes with an inflater. Nice that it has a low pressure detector.

CONGRATS.

A couple of things you may be interested in. First off, get familiar with the name "Jim Conforti".

Bye bye 155mph limiter for one.

Second..DICE adapters.

Thank me later. ;-)

Thanks,
it looks like Conforti's chips only work with 1995 and older M5's.

I am defitnitely looking at the DICE stuff since the BMW AUX port does not allow control of the ipod from the main unit ans steering wheel controls.

Thanks!
