And so was the other one LOL!!!

But this one is retarded...

Go with the new sprawl shorts the grip on the in-seem is ridiculous. Get your gloves from www.titlemma.com or www.combatsports.com, and for a sick pair of boxing gloves get the 16oz ringside spar gloves the grip bar in them makes a world of difference http://www.ringside.com/Ringside-IMF-Tech8482-Training-Gloves-Elastic-Cuff/productinfo/MFTG+E/. It's all about protecting those hands. 2 fights ago i was training, and and didn't have my boxing gloves, or my hand wraps, because I was suppose to only do grappling that day, but when i was offered a quick sparring match I couldn't turn it down so I used some kids wraps, and crappy everlast gloves, and I tore the cartilage in my knuckles between my index, and middle finger. So I couldn't do any live fighting leading up to that fight, and then in that fight I tore it again because it wasn't fully healed. So training for my next fight the same thing happened I could not do any live sparring leading up to the fight, and it finally healed, but my shoulder was junk from not doing any real boxing luckily for me after two front kicks I took him down on the cage and it was over after that. Finally I'm back to normal, but i tell you I will never go in there again with out the right equipment on, because it can ruin your whole career in this sport.

boxing currently as i stated i am trying to look into another martial arts to better my ground stance, hell, maybe sumo :p

I wanna do Krav Maga sooner or later but obviously that's not a UFC style.

You said, "I wish to do boxing and streetfighting," so I presumed you hadn't actually started training in anything yet.

Because it looked like a thread about a guy who buys some awesome driving shoes but doesn't own a car....
....and feel compelled to post pictures of their feet online.

as in wish to combine boxing/streetfighting. I currently do boxing, but have not exceeded towards multiple development of other mma styles or combining them with boxing. Boxing is all I know besides what little wrestling i remember from junior high

I'm no Mixed Martial Artist but I have been going to a boxing gym for the past 7 years. I believe boxing is a great (not best) striking discipline to start off with. It teaches you to keep your hands up, proper punch throwing technique, foot work, different angles for throwing combinations, counter/parrying off punches, etc. Also, if you decide to get into a striking art that involves kicks you'll already have that confidence in your hands to focus on the kicking techniques.
Help me A LOT when I first started learning Muay Thai.

Hell yes! I love Muay Thai!!! When I was really into Muay Thai I was training with these guys that rented a Karate dojo after hours here in Austin. The place was full of traditional Karate sayings, posters, writings, etc on the walls. It was interesting... I stopped going there in 07 and the Karate dojo closed up shop late last year. I wonder if they ever found a place to have his training sessions? I started going to this MMA gym in 07 (better training facilities) but he was charging an arm and a leg for dues. I made the choice to just say with the boxing at the beginning of this year and drop the Muay Thai training. As of right now,,, I'm not doing either! My new job has a lot of time restraint with being salary and all.
At least I have a free fitness center membership that has weights and stuff so I'm not just sitting on my ass all the time. It's not the same though, I miss the workouts, the techniques!
Maybe next year!:)

BTW, this has been a time in the life of Lucky!:D

I love Muy Thai it is just a brutal sport with all the limbs you can use! Boxing is great too, the only thing I like better about MMA is that if you are getting beat in your stand up you don't have to just sit there and take it, you just shoot in on them, or throw them, and start over from there. MMA gym's are real expensive, we have one of the cheapest ones around the Mass area, and it is still $80.00 a month which gives you the MMA training, and boxing training, then if you want to take the regular BJJ class (with a Gi) it is another $110.00 a month, but that is with Carlos Terrinha a 3 time brazilian champion, and former world champion, then we have kickboxing class that is $10.00 a class to take.

ya, pretty pricey gyms for a reason, THEY GET SH*T DONE, unlike a certain president I know

bahahaha cause i have been slacking for the Hotties Babes thread? I'll be posting more pictures tonight on it, since I'm done with this thread :p
